We picked up a small box of pastries on our travels recently and were very impressed. Sfogliatelle are usually difficult to find in my area, but the ones at Avventura Deli were flaky and delicious. My husband also ordered a cannoli, which he really enjoyed. We will definitely be back the next time we're on I-84 in Connecticut.

If you want a genuine Italian deli then this is the place. I have NEVER been disappointed with ANYTHING I've ordered from this place. I also can't name anyone who would disagree. Their grinders/subs are delicious! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this deli!

I don't think I've had an authentic canoli before. These are absoutely delicious. I bought some other items but do not know the names of them. One was like a mini pie covered with powdered sugar with a ricotta filling inside. I hope I get to go there again to try more things. It was hard to choose!

Avventura is consistently top-notch. I returned this month for a pastry order, and was not disappointed. My family and I are repeat Avventura customers for the fresh pastries and dessert items. Traditional Italian-American dessert options in this order included cannoli (two fillings), sfogliatelle, and various cookies. The macaroons were good. As I've stated before, dessert trays and/or boxes are not... More

My family and I have ordered much from Avventura in terms of pastries and dessert items over the years. Their pastry chef is adept at providing very fresh and authentic, traditional Italian-American dessert options (such as cannoli, sfogliatelle, tiramisu, pignoli cookies), as well as thumbprints, a variety of cheesecake, carrot cake, fruit tarts, and rugalah cookies. Dessert trays and/or boxes... More

I had the pleasure of visiting Avventura for this first time this past summer when they invited me to participate in a cooking event as a guest chef. While there, I was able to sample many of their cold and hot case items, pastries, cookies, and gelato. I had one of the best sandwiches I have ever had on deliciously... More
