Always Enjoyable

We have enjoyed another great meal. Great service, our server was attentive even as she worked other tables. Excellent wines. Was hoping for a rhubarb tart as it is in season, but not offered.

I've only been here a couple of times, and I must say, I have never been disappointed. Their menu isn't too big, but the options you have to pick from are all absolutely delicious!! Pricey? A little, but trust me it is SO worth it. Oh and their desserts are also amazing!!! The staff treats you like family.

Tucked away in a working glass neighborhood (sketchy parking) is a good bet. We tend to go early with a teenager who has to get back to school, but have always found our waitresses to be professional and even personable. Most memorable dishes - some sort of lamb shank off the bone in a rich sauce over great mashed, and... More

It seems like some of the reviewers hit a few snags here. It happens. Some had food quality issues and portion issues. These are honestly not true. It takes a lot to impress me and this place did! * Best bread ever. Amazing hummus served with it. * Sausage with broccoli rabe appetizer was a standout. Incredible flavors. * Salmon... More

So the food turned out to be good. But Oh My My - did we (2 of us) wait!!! Open tables, but we were ignored. They would not acknowledge that were waiting to be seated, when I asked about it (after 5 minutes) they said 10-15 minute wait for a table. 30 minutes later and I am telling them if... More

La Tavola is in the middle of a residential neighborhood on the outskirts of Waterbury, but it is worth the effort to get there. Parking is only on the street and that can be a problem at times. We were three couples and had asked to be seated in the wine cellar. It is down a full flight of stairs,... More

Had delicious scallops and risotto dish. A little pricey at $28....4 scallops with risotto, but very good. Salad separate charge. Did share a house salad, was plenty split. Good French martini's. Pleasant waitstaff.

Took a couple out for a celebratory dinner the food was expensive and quantities small. Sparingly with the bread. Service was ok not great, waited when we arrived to be seated with a reservation in a very loud basement, could not enjoy any conversation. My friend never leaves anything on his plate, to which we all concluded the food was... More

Had reservations for dinner with friends prior to a show downtown on a Friday night. At time of reservation I was asked - "booth or table?" Score 1 for the restaurant. That doesn't happen often. Got hung up in traffic. Called to let them know. Got their 15 minutes late. Place was bustling with people but our booth was held.... More
