Prime rib night on Wednesday absolutely delicious. Cliff and Maureen are very welcoming. They treat every customer like a part of their family. If you want great food, great prices, and a amazing staff, visit this restaurant for your next outing. You won't be disappointed.

The Coupled innkeepers actually came out to the parking lot and helped to push my wheelchair into the inn- totally above and beyond. Then they gave us the best table in the house next to the fireplace. The menu was limited to three or four choices per course, but that is how it should be so he could do a... More

Great location but prices have gone up to a point we now go else where to eat. Twelve dollars for wings is just to much.

First of all the location and setting of this restaurant is quintessential New England! The evening we went was mild so all the doors were open - it was lovely! Three of us had the filet and one had scallops. I have to say my steak was better than one I had in Texas! I could have cut it with... More

I was very excited about dining here. I followed their ad in the local paper for some time and finally decided to give them a try. I invited my son and his wife and we went on a weekday evening for the special. While I am not a big prime Rib fan their ad made it sound so good. The... More

Tucked away in quiet rural Connecticut, the Rooster Tail Inn restaurant is well worth the drive, and a picturesque drive at that. My mother and I both enjoyed the delicious prime rib. Well, I must say that the fresh pop-overs almost stole the show, and our meal also included perfectly cooked asparagus and amazing risotto. Service was gracious and attentive.... More

Enjoyed a very delicious prime rib dinner. First they bring puts bread with a homemade spread. The spread was very tasty. The prime rib is served with a popover, potatoes and veggies. They also serve a horseradish sauce to go along with the prime rib. Service was good and the place is quite charming. Wed night is prime rib night... More

We had a chance to get together with friends during mid week to celebrate Valentine's Day. We had reservations for 7:00pm Great midweek special on Prime Rib. April our waitress made us feel right at home. After an enjoyable dinner we decide on a little desert . Key Lime pie was fantastic. Great evening .

I have become very disappointed in our recent visits to the Rooster Tail Inn Restaurant. Since my first review from November 2012 the dinners and branches have gone down hill. On 3 separate visits a member of our party had to turn back a meal for either being bad, (mussels) undercooked(meat) and meat in a veggie omlette. Service remains good... More

My wife and I went for a dinner for two and were very pleased with everything. The appetizer was an outstanding presentation of stuffed mushrooms. The dinner entrees were both suburb. I got the sirloin and my wife had stuffed lobster. Everything was so good that we asked to see the chef. He came out and was greeted by us... More
