Tom makes the very best bacon egg and cheese on a hard roll that you will ever have. It cost about what you would have paid 20 years ago. No table service, you must go to the back and ask Tom (no spring chicken) for what you want. its a scene right out of seinfeld and the soup guy.I hope... More

To know Tom is to love him. I am a regular, 4 or 5 times a week for years. Yes, he is surly at times. He is also Mr. Milk Toast at times. He runs a tight ship and does things his way. That is what makes it Tom's. He has been in the restaurant business all his life and... More

This is a self serve type of place. The owner stands at the grill, you walk over tell him what you want, and after its done he just puts it up on this little shelf and you have to go get it. You make your own coffee and are expected to fill it up if its empty. Every customer sort... More

Tom's whole operation is flawed from the start. You're greeted by Tom's miserable demeanor as he stands over his greasy grill letting who knows what kind of skin or hair follicles fall into your food. I'm surprised he can still notice when someone walks into the place. It's dark inside, and dirty. You're expected to coordinate with every other customer... More

Not only were the bacon egg and cheeses amazing and so large and wonderful, but the owner, Tom is just as great. The cost of a bacon egg and cheese is $2.50 and worth every penny and more. Tom is definitely absolutely adorable and the greatest chef in Wallingford,Connecticut. The low maintenance of the restaurant makes you feel really at... More

The Bacon Egg and Cheese isn't called famous for nothing. It's the size of your face, less than $3.00, and soo good you can't help but go back for more. The regulars are always quick to strike up a conversation or help you learn the ropes of the shoppe if it's your first time. Especially good if you're taking an... More

Having gone to school in this town and spending many a weekend morning at Tom's debating world issues or just catching up on gossip, I might be a bit biased. However, you will never have a better bacon or sausage, egg and cheese than what you will get here. Portions are great and Tom is the only person "officially" running... More
