I was staying overnight on a Sunday night in Wallingford, and was going to go to the BBQ restaurant across the street. Thank goodness it was closed otherwise I would have never fount this gem. I managed to sneak in just before closing,, and rather than be perturbed by a late customer, the servers were gracious and happy to see... More

I had read a few reviews of this small, casual restaurant so when I was in the immediate area recently I took the opportunity to stop in at lunch time. There is a dining room to one side that was nearly empty, but I chose to eat at the counter. I did not see any paper menus, but there is... More

Wallingford's best-kept secret is this taqueria, which offers a broad menu and fresh ingredients that are hard to find outside Southern California. The burritos are excellent as are the more exotic dishes. The staff are warm and courteous and will help you work through the menu options. It's mostly a takeout place with little ambience in the small dining area,... More

Well-prepared food by friendly people who care. The chorizo and carnitas tacos were particularly good, and the rice and beans very well seasoned.

Small place, with a delicious menu. The staff is friendly and the food has always been outstanding. The salsa is super fresh which I look for in Mexican places. Give them a shot

We tried this after a friend of ours recommended it. Otherwise we probably wouldn't have tried it just because its a little uninviting from the outside. However, as soon as you walk in its very cute and comfortable. Everyone was super nice. We saw them making a tostada and it looked so good so we got that and a burrito.... More

Being from California, it's been a while since I've seen anything even resembling real Mexican food in Connecticut. This little hole in the wall does the trick! May not be the cleanest or best looking place, but it has awesome tasting food. Burritos are huge and a great deal, tacos are also really good. I would recommend this place to... More

Simple, authentic Mexican food made with the freshest ingredients. Everything is homemade from the hot sauce to the tamales made in the back by the owner's wife. Not a fancy restaurant, but the owner has recently remodeled and added an attractive dining room. If you are looking for excellent Mexican food in a clean, pleasant setting, this is the place for...
