My wife and I came here for the first time last week to have dinner before a show at The Oakdale THeater. At first we were a bit concerned because our young waitress was not aware if they had sparkling mineral water. We asked for "just sparkling" and she brought out Pellegrino 15 minutes later. After gently advising her that... More

This was our first time at J. Christian's and the place is beautiful. We sat on the second floor and looked down over the bar. The Short ribs over the Grits were to die for and the orange ginger chicken app was better then most Chinese Restaurants. Portions are big. All in All an upscale place that was very friendly... More

My family brought me hear for my birthday. We were a party of 7. The Martini's were delicious, we ordered a bottle of wine and the selection was good. For the table we ordered two appetizers the deviled egg's and the crispy Brussel sprouts both were delicious. Came time to order, we all ordered different selections, I couldn't decide due... More

I took my husband there for his bday. The hostess was amazing and put us in a table in the balcony overlooking the bar and entrance. I recommend the BBQ shrimp, crab cakes, salmon, shrimp n grits.... Absolutely amazing! Great food for great price. Very relaxed dress code.

Dined there twice in the last two years. Each time we were struck by how wonderfully the old bank structure, wood, fittings, stairs and the adapted bar were in keeping with the appearance of a promising restaurant. Such a pity that the food is, at the very least, unremarkable and had not Improved since our first visit, a visit that... More

My first time to visit this restaurant as recommended by the front desk clerk at the hotel I was staying at. I came to have dinner here with two other friends on a week night. Service was slow though there weren't too many customers then. My one friend who was a chef, ordered a medium rare steak, but got a... More

Went with friends for dessert, drinks, coffee. Wish we had dinner there, but we went somewhere first. The place is an old bank, redone very tastefully. Excellent friendly service. The pie was perfect! The menu is very appealing, prices are reasonable. Plan to go again next time in town.

J. Christians is a perfect addition to downtown. A gorgeous bar and tasty drinks, a well-crafted, seasonally fresh menu and gorgeous and cozy atmosphere. Great for a date night or girls/guys night out. It never disappoints!

Different type of ambiance. Open floor plan downstairs & space upstairs as well. Nice ladies room. Very good food. We especially loved the she-crab soup.

J. Christian's is becoming a regular place to stop at for dinner on my trips between Boston and NYC. This is the third time there in a little over a year and each time the food has been excellent. Coincidently, I have gotten the same table each time. So, it is beginning to feel like MY table. The Mac and... More
