Fantastic ice cream on a delicious home made waffle cone.

Excellent selection of delicious flavors, waffle cone was awesome with hint of vanilla flavor. Must visti while in area.

Buttonwood Farm Ice Cream is known by locals for having the best homemade ice cream in town. The ice cream is very good, but expect long line and high prices. The best time to go is in July or the beginning of August to get a glimpse of the beautiful sunflower fields across the street while you sink your teeth... More

My husband and I used to go as regulars when we lived about 30 minutes away. They serve the best ice cream in the state. Now that we live over 90 minutes away, we look for reasons to go to Griswold just for the treat of having an ice cream cone 😃

I go here every time we come through the area. The choice of different ice cream is great. Too many sometimes. Taking a well deserved morning off I stopped in on a drive north past the casinos in eastern Connecticut. It was a hot day in May so I was surprised there was no line at the windows. I had... More

Great place well off the beaten path. You will definitely need a GPS to get there. We went on a Thursday and the line was long but it moved fairly quickly. My son loved seeing the cows and getting up real close to them. I can vouch that the following flavors are excellent - Strawberry Cheesecake, Salted Caramel and Maple... More

Ice Cream is a bit pricey but worth it! I had the Country Breakfast which was Maple ice Cream with tons of bacon bits. So good! My husband had a milkshake and he said it was up there with the best of them.

Homemade goodness through and through. If ice cream were graded like meat, this would be prime. It's dense and flavorful, unlike any other ice cream I remember tasting. I had the white chocolate and cherry vanilla together in a hot fudge sundae like no other. The whipped cream they top the sundaes with is whipped in house, no nitrous oxide... More

This creamery is as old-fashioned as it gets with interesting homemade ice cream flavors galore. The strawberry cheesecake, maple walnut, p nutty, jungle George, and bubble gum are just a few of the more flavorful varieties which change often. Pumpkin cheesecake yogurt just came in for autumn. This is a must stop ice cream shop in southern CT. This farm... More

My 11 year old and his friend titled this review -- they felt the 45 minute wait (even though it was an on-and-off rainy day) was worth it for the huge cones of delicious ice cream. I had the sunflower ice cream which was really good. Great photo ops by the sunflower field but be aware that the best view... More

My stepfather took my family and me to this place for ice cream. I am glad that he did because this place can make awesome ice cream. This place makes many different flavors that you WILL not see anywhere else. The best part is that everything is made fresh and handmade. I ordered blueberry ice cream with real Maine blueberries...
