You would think that if you're going to a restaurant called the summer shack, and the fact that this restaurant is located inside a major casino destination, that the food would be fresh and prepared well. Well, you would be wrong! To put it as simply as possible, the food here is sub-par and over-priced. The fish I ordered did... More

We had high hopes when we waited in line to order. We stopped in for a quick bite before a show at the Sun. Ordered the lobster mac & cheese and the corn & clam fritters. Waited nearly 20 minutes for our order. The place wasn't overly busy but the staff was completely disorganized. They were having trouble taking payments,... More

The newly renovated Summer Shack at the Mohegan Sun Casino is still pumping out very well prepared fresh seafood at a high rate of speed. The mainstays remain, Oyster, clams, Lobster, daily fresh catch board...The self proclaimed exclusive oyster, South Bay Blonde, is really excellent and good to have as a mainstay year round. If you see a seat, jump in... More

The menue was good and the specials were good. The price was good given the quality, portion and freshness of the seafood. The help was attentive and the service was good given how busy the place is. I would recommend this place

Had lunch here with my husband. It was pretty empty. Service was ok. Food came out pretty fast. You get a basket of bread (includes corn bread). We ordered lobster pot stickers and they were very good and then ordered a clam bake which was also very good. It is very low key in there. If you are looking for... More

My wife comes from maine and loves her lobster rolls. She says this place has one of the better ones she has tried. Service is good and really never had a bad meal. Very relaxed atmosphere although if crowded can be little noisey.

Late lunch with the kids. Tried the buffalo shrimp appetizer. Received 6 small (50-60 shrimp per pound size). Really?? I will post the photo. Lobster salad sandwich was extremely small, with only knuckle and claw meat. No tail meat. Left hungry, planning on an early dinner now.

I am a New England girl and I love my seafood. Enjoyed the steamers and lobster pot stickers were great. Service was slow but it was a busy night.

Service: Excellent-sat in bar & bartender/waiter Joseph had a terrific attitude, Food: Good (grilled sardines), Very Good (swordfish & polenta), Excellent (skewered shrimp & scallops, bok choy & jasmine rice, cocktails). Don't bother with the whoopie pie-it was pretty nasty. Overall did enjoy this lunch & would def eat here again!
