A good choice at Mohegan Sun

We stopped here for a late night drink. The atmosphere is great... It was a Saturday night and much of the casino was chaotic. Ballo was busy but it seemed to be under control... We appreciated the retreat. Service was pleasant. We will return for dinner. If you are looking for a "quieter" spot... read more

Had the opportunity to stay at Mohegan Sun in Feb for a weekend. Had Thursday evening plans at Ballos and they did not disappoint. Started out with minestrone soup which was very warm, tasty and great spices. Had the meat sauce with spaghetti (short description) which again was very warm and sweet. Had the special pale ale which was in... More

My girlfriend and I came here this past Thursday night for dinner as we were staying at the casino for the night and I had heard good reviews. The food and service was very good. I mentioned to the waiter that I wanted a cannoli for desert but I did not have any room and he brought one out for... More

BALLO is conveniently located in the Mohegan Sun casino for those who hunger while they enjoy themselves gambling or shopping or seeing a show, but even if it wasn't somewhere I already was, I'd go here. The atmosphere is so nice, I usually forget I'm even at the casino. The food is some of the best I've ever had, and... More

We've eaten at Ballo numerous times, and it's definitely our "go to" favorite at Mohegan Sun. The menu is varied and awesome. I have to admit, however, that more often than not, we look forward to feasting on a spectacularly mouth-watering "per la tavola" dish of "Prosciutto & Parmigiano" (and we tell them to leave off the roasted tomatoes and... My husband and I enjoyed a nice dinner here on a Sunday evening. We went at 6pm and the place was very quiet. We had wonderful service and both enjoyed our food. The Caesar salad was great, the bruschetta was ok (they use gorganzola cheese, which is not what I would have chosen), and the ravioli was wonderful. If we... More

My husband and I went to Ballo on a Sunday evening and sat at the bar. I always say that it’s service that separates a 5 star review from a 1 star review, and our experience was an example of that. I should also add that we’ve been to Ballo (restaurant area and bar) many other times. We were in... More

The first good thing about the restaurant was the hostess who sat us post haste. The next good thing was the waiter! Once our beverages were delivered the remainder of the meals was wonderful. Great apps, tasty dinners and awesome desserts. We will return and hopefully our waiter will be there.

This is a relative newcomer to the Mohegan's Sun's list of top restaurants. It's got a wide variety of Mediterranean and Italian selections. I had the veal parm and it was huge and very tasty. Definitely worth a visit while you are at the Sun.
