This restaurant's food is just amazing. A party of four one had the Salmon, one Swordfish, One Ribeye and one Filet. All grilled to perfection. The sides were perfect . Service was above and beyond, wine list with all the favorites, We choose the Cake Bread and Duck Horn Cab. The chef was very accommodating for one persons gluten allergy... More

First time here and sat at the bar. Our server was excellent and very attentive. My husbands steak was cooked exactly as he asked, medium rare, no complaints, except it seemed a little $45. I had the fried chicken, which was very tasty with a mustard sauce again tasty, but it seemed as though the chef dropped the salt shaker... More

We were unable to secure a seat at the bar - there were people coming from different directions snagging seats... Would have been helpful for staff to take names for the bar area.

Went there May 2014, the food was good but very, very expensive. If I had to to match the cost with the quality of the food I would rate it much lower. As I said the food was very good but not outstanding which is what I would expect for a bill of $460 for 4 people, an appetizer &... More

Eaten here many times and spent a few grand over the past few years and we drive 2 h to get there. We have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries and introduced our two kids to good food. We have a regular server (Karen) who rocks and we of course take good care of here. On Sunday I entered at 8:35 PM to... More

We were looking for steak or lobster before seeing a show at Mohegan Sun Arena. There were only two choices: Bar Americain or Michael Jordan's. The popularity of the show that we were going to blocked out Michael Jordan's so we actually defaulted to Bar Americain. The restaurant and bar area were crowded and the maitre'd was a little curt... Bobby Flay's Bar American has a very deceptive name. This sit down restaurant is great. I started out with an Oyster appetizer. They had run out of the Oyster that I wanted, but to make up for it they supplemented the missing Oysters with a full plate of a different kind. We had enough to share with everyone at the... More

Pretty awesome burgers after a late night of gambling. Service was a little bit slow, but I definitely liked the atmosphere. I can imagine this place gets pretty packed during normal feasting hours.

We love their steaks here with homemade steak sauce. Ribeye and strip steaks are both extremely tender. Try the smoky margarita, great cocktail! Side dishes are good but need attention. They fall a bit short on flavor.

Had dinner at Bar Americain and loved every minute of it. The meal started with the shellfish cocktail- if you're a seafood lover, order this- you will not be dissapointed. The hot potato chips with blue cheese sauce was a nice treat. Since this was a special occassion for me, I ordered the filet mignon which was cooked just as... More
