Great place for a quiet dinner of excellent food and service. There was a nearby table that had a large group so this is also a place for celebrations too. In either case the menu is great and the wine selection good. The wait staff is attentive but not intrusive.

Huge fan of Bobby Flay so had to see what this place had going on. Was higher end than I was expecting so what you get is top notch service and an excellently prepared menu. I kept it simple with the secret recipe fried chicken, and it was fantastic. Pair with a local beer brewed at the casino (Thomas Hooker),... More

Their lobster dish is a favorite. They have some great specials too. Nice place to just relax and have a drink in the bar area.

Decided to treat my wife for a night out at the Casino and we chose Bar Americain. Normally I tend to stay away from "celebrity chef" places because you are just paying for the name but this was a nice surprise. I have allergies and the staff was very helpful in finding options for me. The steak I had was... More

Same menu as NYC but slightly lacking in quality. The coconut crab cocktail in Manhattan is a favorite but here was overpowered by red onion. The mussels also a favorite in NYC was pretty close. Overall good but not the same.

Birthday dinner and had a terrible time. Server seemed to dislike us and only paid attention to the table next to us. Ordered apps and drink then left because he was so bad.Food that we had was good and would of liked to have had dinner but he was so bad. We did go to Michael Jordan's steakhouse and the... More

The dinner was great. No problem getting a table on a Monday. I had the swordfish which was perfectly portioned. He had a newyork steak that was generous in size and fork tender with a side of smashed potatoes with goat cheese that was delicious. Service was very good. Prices were high but we knew that going in.

I recently ate at Bobby Flay's Bar Americain at Mohegan Sun. I found they tended to over-season everything. The chopped salad had too much dressing and my steak had too much pepper. My wife tried the crepes and found the sage in it to be over-whelming. Our entrees came out the first time luke-warm. They did correct this, but it... More

This was our second visit to Bar Americain - the first visit was to his restaurant in NYC. We were able to get reservations through Open Table although there were plenty of empty tables when we went in June. That was a little bit surprising but at least we didn't have to deal with slow service and crowds. My husband... More
