Maybe it's the atmosphere. Maybe the idea that I grew up in this town and like returning to visit. Maybe it just the darn good pizza. Whatever - I still like stopping here for a pie whenever I visit. I really like the old New England bar/tavern like atmosphere. The bartender and waitresses are all very welcoming folks. It seems... More

Been around for many years, has the old bar atmosphere, great place for pizza and a beer. Also offers weekly specials.

Had high expectations since I haven't been there in a while. We ordered beer a root beer small salad and a medium cheese pizza. The salad came out and there was pepperoni and ham in it... We are vegetarian and asked the waitress if we could have a salad without meat... We apologized as we didn't know. She told us... More

Went there for a light lunch with out of town guest and had pizza with almost everything on it. Delicious... Love the character of the place and it always has a great vibe. Not formal, and not expensive.

This place has character. We love the atmosphere and the food. It's a very casual place in an old building. Not fancy, but good. They make a great salad, too!

I was there many years ago and the quality has diminished since then. First of all they charge you for every soda drink $1.50 per refill New York like. Grrrrr!! I hate this practice unless they mention it before several sodas and find it on the bill afterwards!! The salad was very good, but the pizza quality was average at... More

The service was horrible on Monday night. The waitress was rude acted like she was doing us a favor by taking our order would much rather by taking to a man at the bar. Then she just put our plates and silverware and napkins on the edge of the table in a stack. The salad was ok but it was... More

I stop here whenever I am in Torrington. I grew up here so maybe it's the nostalgia. Whatever. There is always a place to sit and I get a pizza because I enjoy the fresh flavor. The atmosphere reeks New England which, for me, is a good departure from the south.

The salad sucked, straight iceberg lettuce. While the pizza was "different" it certainly isn't worth the trip. It is reasonably priced but I can't say it's worth it. Our waitress took foreve to acknowledge or existence despite being a pretty quiet night. It was also freezing in the place and the kitchen took a while. All and all we will... More
