Convenient to the Theatre and Ballet, interesting selections

The selections change from time to time, varying from burgers to hummus and salad and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere tends to be on the loud side and in the winter it is chilly inside. All of my friends rant and rave about Backstage, but truthfully, I didn't expect such outstanding quality! The inside is huge and unique. The menu had a great selection of everything and tons of great drinks of course. Everything is also made from scratch, which is an amazing plus, as no restaurants seem to put this amount of effort into... More

Our recent dinner at Backstage was exactly what we were hoping for -- very good food, not to mention a very extensive selection of terrific beers (on tap and in bottles), with friendly service in a casual atmosphere. We are always pleasantly surprised at how consistently good the food is here -- in fact, we don't think there's a better... More

We visited backstage last night before a show. The service was fast and efficient. The hamburgers, fries and onion sticks were excellent and just as we ordered. The fish and chips were also very good. Have an great selection of beers on tap and in bottles. Highly recommended, but restaurant can be noisy when full.

Backstage moved in after Cambridge Brew Pub left downtown, and has been a popular spot in downtown ever since. Any time there's a show at the nearby Warner Theatre, you can be sure that Backstage will be packed both before and after the show. Food is good, but expensive for the portion size you get. They have a fully equipped... More

Backstage offers a good variety of full and light dinners. Try the mussels or the salmon. The wine and beer selection is larger than most restaurants.

Never again, bunch of bad experiences taking clients here. Stick to the Mondaine bar if you actually like this place.
