Great burger

We were looking for a good burger after hiking on the appalachian trail. It was 9pm on a Thursday, and we got a great burger and fun atmosphere as well. Too bad it wasn't closer to western Massachusetts or I'd go there more often!

Took the family for what should have been an excellent dinner. Past experiences had been better which is why we chose Backstage for the family outing. I don't know if it was just poor training of our waitress, but we were not informed that there was a substantial up charge ($3 up charge on an $8 hamburger is substantial) to... More

I really wish I could say anything but a bad experience because Backstage used to be a fun place, however, last night's experience was less than enjoyable. I blew into town and decided to take my granddaughters and daughter for a girl's night out, 7:30 pm reservations. Some of the tables were empty but the staff seemed to be extremely... More

A search on Google maps for restaurants in Torrington located Backstage. The tap list led my husband and I to go there. We bellied up to the bar. Our Saturday afternoon was spent sharing delicious menu items, enjoying the great beer selection, playing the trivia game, and talking with the friendly bartender. Even though we live an hour away we... More

This restaurant used to be excellant. The location is perfect when you have tickets to a show at the Warner and we have eaten there many times but won't return as it is just getting progressively worse. We ordered the Ahi Tuna Tacos...terrible they tasted like coleslaw with Wasabi. The burgers were ordered medium rare..when they arrived they were black,... More

The food and drinks here were very good. I had a burger stuffed with Mac and cheese. Yummy! The Pop rock martini was fun and delicious as well! The only thing I didn't enjoy was the seating arrangement it's loud and very close together.

I was visiting for my daughters dance competition and this reasturant kicked us out of their reasturant due to no tables. There was no offer to try to accomdate our group. We were not asked nicely to wait in lobby. We were asked to leave the reasturant. The hostess was beyond rude. I was embarrassed and appalled at their customer... More

I enjoy the food and the fact that they use local sources for smoked meats, cheese and lots of other foods. In the summer, the tables outside are dog friendly, and it is nice sitting out during the Thursday street fair if you like people watching. The service varies with the server and is not always great.

Great Atmosphere-great food! They make the best lobster pot pie in the world!! If you are having dinner before a show at the Warner, go early as this place is packed on those nights.

Backstage is located next to the Warner Theatre in Torrington, CT. It is very convenient to go there if you are going to the theatre that night. We were. The food is always good and the service is also good. We were a bit late so could not have a relaxing meal. Not Backstage's fault. Our salmon was done well.... More
