Great Post-theatre Eatery

We visited with friends right after a show at Warner Theater, which is two doors away. We were promptly seated at our reserved time and the server took good care throughout. Ordered a cheese and local cured cold meat appetizer. They wrapped prosciutto around Camembert but served the cheese stone cold. Spiced coppa with blue cheese also odd, soppressata with cheese and cherry preserves worked better. Arugula salad with goat cheese, toasted pistachios, and blackberries very nice.

Finally someone got it right in Torrington. Backstage has a great mix of great food, good craft beers, and great atmosphere. It accommodates the younger crowd and older crowd equally well. As fifty-something's we feel very comfortable sitting at the bar without feeling out of place. Can't beat the Happy Hour, great burgers and awesome entree's that are creative and... More

Went for brunch/lunch Sunday and was blown away by the high quality of the food. I had eggs benedict with buttery lobster meat and spinach: indescribably fresh and delicious. Companions' corned beef hash bennie and classic burger also 5-star. Charming servers, terrific prices: can't wait to go back!

Food was a bit on the greasy side. We were just so hungry! My corned beef rueben was greasy. My daughter liked her sweet potato fries. My husband enjoyed the ale flights. I did really appreciate they use local businesses ~ farms etc. Our server was very attentive !

Every time I come here there's a new brew to try! They do sampler sets too! Wings are amazing - get honey BBQ! Be warned, their big plates are BIG. Come hungry and thirsty!
