I write this review with mixed emotions. During the summer months, it is a nightmare to try to get a table in the Mystic + Stonington areas (we have a home in the area). On one hand, I love Water St and want to see them do well, but I also know that Tripadvisor reviews can drive the crowds into... More

I had dinner here on Sunday; salad with local fresh ingredients, halibut perfectly cooked and a chocolate bread pudding with vanilla ice cream with some hazelnut coffee. One of the best meals I have ever had-anywhere. Service was superb. An unexpected bonus was the Charlie Holland Jazz Band-I didn't know they played on Sundays-it was like getting a gift in... More

We went for a quick lunch, and I had the tuna over greens with wasabi dressing, which was absolutely heavenly. The server, Quinn, was by herself with many tables, and she managed to do a fantastic job. Great service, great atmosphere, great value, GREAT FOOD! What more can one ask for?

A jewell of a restaurant in the most wonderful town. The food is wonderful and so is the atmosphere. A wonderful find.

Great food. The innovative trout Putanesca special was light and flavorful. The appetizers were delicious as well. There was a quesadilla topped with prosciutto on the specials and it was quite good. We has another appetizer that I don't recall the name of but it was very good. It was a crab stuffed nem (egg roll). It was light and... More

I been here for lunch before but never dinner. What a different set of menu combinations. The service was great and food delicious. While I rarely order dessert, I did and was yummy as well. Give it a try.

Hard to argue with anything about our lunch -- attentive service, comfortable booth, good food, classy background music, reasonable prices. Can't go wrong here.

I ordered the tuna, which was out of this world. It was very rare and served with a wonderful set of green vegetables, which I normally don't like but in this case they were very good. Nice wine selection. My husband ordered the duck, which he enjoyed. Highly recommended.

Visit this cozy, no-reservations bistro and prepared to be amazed. In our recent visit, we were delighted with everything we ate. Speaking for myself, I had a pan seared sea trout prepared with tomatoes, capers, olives, and fingerling potatoes. It might have been overbearing or bland or mismatched, but it was one of the best meals I have had since... More

Stonington is a wonderful seaside town and while there we stopped for lunch. Logically a seaside town would have wonderful seafood. We were going to order Crab Bisque but they were out, what happened to traditional clam chowder or a good fish sandwich. One of our party had a dairy allergy and it clearly took the waitress by surprise. The... More
