Busy pub with a great location on the dock next to the local shipyard. Water views. Good hearty food served by a pleasant and hard working staff.

Four couples went to Stonington for the first time to experience the wineries and fall colors. Here we we introduced to Dog Watch Cafe for our dinner. We were very pleased with our dinner as well as our service. When we arrived we were told a 45 minute wait, so we ordered drinks and sat outside on a pleasant fall... More

The lobster roll at Dog Watch is the best I've ever had. Huge pieces of claw and tail and so delicious!

The Dog Watch Cafe is located in quintessential New England Stonington Borough with water view seating and maritime ambiance. Our out-of-town friends who joined us for lunch said, "You really know where to find the best place to eat." I encourage travelers on I-95 driving between New York and Boston to take Exit 91 just outside Mystic, Connecticut and enjoy... More

We had lunch here. Nice view of the boats, friendly service, not too expensive. Mussels, clam chowder and salad all were fresh and well prepared. Not fancy by any means, but if you look good casual food at a reasonable price its a good choice.

I went here with a group for a reunion lunch.. actually we totaled 11.. They put us in a corner and we really couldn't fit at the table they had us at.. and we had called ahead, so they knew we were coming. So we were jammed in at this table.. It was very warm..Then the noise level was very... More

Really busy, we waited in the bar on the edge of the harbour, it was gorgeous. Oysters and chowder were lovely, swordfish tender and really well flavoured, only small negative was that scallops described as fried were actually deep - fried - maybe our mistake but the batter was a bit too much. But otherwise all ideal!

Took us a while to be seated, even though there were many open table. Gave us time to check out the fire pit outside and many little table and chair. Once inside we were waited on right away. Maybe options on the menu centered mostly around seafood of course. I went for the lobster mac and cheese and the clam... More

Glad we got out of Mystic one night & wandered upon this spot. In a lovely location right on the water. Superb quick service & food was above average.

We stayed overnight in Mystic, CT on our way to Maine. While exploring the area, we stumbled upon the Dog Watch Cafe and decided to stop in for dinner. What a great place! It's right on the water and there is a lovely view from the bar and outdoor deck. The food was great, the atmosphere was quaint and the... More
