Locals say it's a diner-themed restaurant. It's still a diner, but with upscale and modernized food when it's called for. So, for instance, the salad nicoise has nice, fresh grilled tuna (really good quality and perfectly cooked). The pastries are delicious; we usually pick up a couple for breakfast the next day. Good location, right off i-95, so a convenient... More

My son, wife, and I ate at this diner and the food was terrific. When you walk into the diner you will pleasantly surprised at the Art deco decor from the 1950's but the food is not modern. It is clean and there is plenty of servers as well as many cooks. We all had lunch from the menu. The... More

The Sesame Encrusted Tuna Salad was the best I've ever eaten. The tuna was prepared perfectly. The greens were a fresh, crisp mix with no rotten spots (very rare in restaurants these days!) My companion had an egg white omelette the size of a platter filled with delicious goodies. Both our lunches were accompanied by some of the best bread... More

My husband and I went here after a long drive from GA. He was telling me all the good things about it (or how it used to be) I ordered a Panini and it was really dry. And we were told the milkshakes were awesome. So we split a vanilla with chocolate chips. HORRIBLE. it was like vanilla milk with... More

Typical diner experience. Surprised that there were few options that didn't include lots of sugar or carbs. There were no gluten free options. So obviously we are NOT their usual patrons. Due to a family member having many food allergies, it's just nice when there is something for them to order and they don't feel left out...

This review is based upon a single visit to the restaurant. My family chose to walk here one morning after deciding the carb-heavy offerings at our motel's "hot breakfast" was not worth the free pricetag. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast here. I had corned beef hash with a poached egg and hollandaise. My daughter had pancakes with strawberries and maple... More

Located at Exit 6 off I-95, the diner-restaurant updated its menu not too long ago, offering less items, but better prepared meals. Even with the pared down menu, every member of the family can find something enjoyable, and make sure you save room for dessert.

We just wanted a quick and quiet supper and the sandwiches were very good. It was a bit pricey but we expected that in Stamford.

Convenient location, delicious menu, clean quality, and good service, although a bit pricey. That's because City Limits Diner is an upscale diner (fitting with its Lower Fairfield County location bordering Stamford and Greenwich). If you're looking for a cheap cup of coffee and a cheap hot dog or simple omelet, try elsewhere: there are plenty of cheap diners. This is... More
