Family-run, but not frumpy

Usually when I see "family and Italian restaurant" together, I imagine red & white check table-cloths or old-fashioned dowdy, quiet, or boring. Not at this place. It is not modern or hip, but rather bright and fresh. The food was delicious and in decent proportions. I had quail, my wife had an... read more

Great food, great atmosphere, great service & value. I felt home as soon as I stepped in the door. I went with a party of three Saturday night, and even though it was full, I was seated promptly. Everything from the appetizers to dessert was well crafted and incredibly tasty. The waiter and the owner were really friendly and made... More

I agree with previous negative reviews. Lackluster. We were recommended this restaurant since we were new to the neighborhood from Los Angeles. My criteria is simple, make us feel welcomed, educate us on your cuisine, treat us as if our dollar means something to you. Upon entering the restaurant, you are not warmly greeted, you are scooted to a table... More

Only the finest combination of ingredients go into the meals prepared at this lovely Italian restaurant, and you can taste the difference. You will find plenty of old world charm here, along with a lengthy menu of appetizers and entrees or, for those with heartier appetites, a wonderful prix fixe five-course dinner and an excellent selection of wines. Recommend the... More

Food here is terrific but this restaurant is very noisey. A popular spot on Saturday, it was packed and the noise got louder as evening went on. A table in the back will help a bit. Food is authentic, delicious Italian. Service is very friendly. Be prepared ... you will have to talk loudly to be heard!

This was a late choice after a long work day. Very attentive staff and pleasant decor. Nice wine list. I really enjoyed the Polpo - octopus appetizer. Very good pasta. Would love to go back.

In an area awash in a sea of "red gravy" joints, Siena is an island of Tuscan deliciousness. Great fresh bread and pasta. Chef's menu is very reasonable for 3 courses. Father-in-law took the family for my wife's birthday. Comfortable, unhurried meal with Gerardo, our laidback but very knowledgeable server.

We went to this restaurant based on a recommendation from a local colleague. The atmosphere was nice. We all had the Chef's Menu which was priced reasonably for a 3 course meal. The sausage appetizer was exceptional. Two of us had the stracotto which ended up to be tough, overcooked. The potatoes were also overcooked and hard. For a wine... More

A very nice restaurant in Stamford. They have a good wine selection and the pasta is fresh. As stated in some of the other reviews it tends to be on the lively/noisy side. Less appropriate for an intimate dinner for 2 than some places. I was there with friends and we tend to be loud anyway, so the place was... More
