The loud could be due to a local restaurant special week, but it was packed last night...bump into your chair and step on your foot packed. Food was very good...though pretty rushed service - though friendly and courteous. Fish was excellent, fresh, light.

Located in the heart of Stamford, this restaurant has a well-merited reputation for excellence in its Italian cuisine. We ate here with another couple and found the food to be genuine and very well prepared. The service was very good. The restaurant is not large and the tables are somewhat close together (but like an Italian restaurant). The restaurant tends... More

Whenever there is a special occasion, this is a first choice. Only problem is it's rather small with close tables.

On July 23rd after work I decided to stop for dinner downtown, this turned into the worst experience in life, waiter yelled at me and the manager ignored the behavior which was totally racism. I ask everyone not to patronized this type of restaurant.

Liked the ambiance, quiet and small enough to have conversations. Food, especially the pasta, was delicious. They were out of three desserts, which seemed very odd. Service was very slow and we frequently had to flag down our server.

Two nights in a row last week. First night a large group in the restaurant made it very loud and uncomfortable; not true the following evening. Really special veal dish-it was delicious and certainly worth the cost. However, the brushcetta was extremely disappointing and certainly not worth the money for three little pieces of bread. The fried zucchini is always... More

I have no idea how this place is rated so high. They must pay people to flood the reviews. All the food is over sauced, and over salted. I try this place every three years to see if my opinion changes, and it doesn't. The place does high volume, and maybe that takes away from the food, but it is... More

Our family of four enjoyed a great meal here. All of us loved our entrees (three of us had veal dishes, the other had the ribeye), which tasted great and were not stereotypical heavy Italian fare (i.e., we didn't walk out feeling like we needed to lie down). The deserts (cream puffs and chocolate mousse) were fabulous, and like the... More

Went with my wife and daughter around 6:45 on a Tuesday. Small place, seated immediately. Delicious bread. Appetizer delicious too -- mushroom crepe with Bechamel. I had a veal with cheese and eggplant topping. Very rich but very good. Excellent sides -- roasted potatoes and string beans. My wife has spaghetti with clams and loved it. Don't remember what my...
