There have been many reviews written of Colony Grill. This one is likely to be biased, so my apologies to critics. I began going to Colony Grill when I was probably about four or five years old. My parents had found it with friends in an accidental search for a casual place to have dinner years before. I can recount... More

I am from NYC and I am Hungarian-American. My husband is from Bayonne, NJ and is Italian-American. Pizza is pizza to me. But this is not the case for my husband. He makes his own thin crust pizza every Friday night for dinner because we simply cannot find a restaurant anywhere in Connecticut that meets his requirements. We finally asked... More

Never had a bad pizza here. I do not even eat thin crust pizza, except for here! Amazingly delicious. Try the hot oil. Also the pepperoni and meatball toppings are delicious as well. Bar seating, and casual dining at it's finest. Rustic look. Delicious!!! :)

On my way to "beantown" (Boston) from Philadelphia my husband suggested we stop at the colony grill for lunch...his suggestion did not disappoint! The "hot oil" pizza with sausage was so delicious! The crust is super crispy and the hot oil gives it a zesty kick...the atmosphere was typical bar...a great stop for lunch or dinner for a road trip!

on the wall, and relax for a while. Colony is a historic haven, very simple pizzas and a full bar, sports TVs in one room, and music in another. The wall behind the bar is covered with photos of veterans from many wars, reminding you that they were young once, and here, and that all will be well. So order... More

Colony Grill sounds like a bar but, it's a pizza joint. Each individual sized pizza is enough for one hungry person or two lite eaters. We had a sausage pizza and a hot oil pizza. The pies don't look great but they do taste good. Not the best I've had but perfectly acceptable in this area. Bring cash with you... More

Colony pizza is thin crust and very light on sauce. We had a plain cheese, bacon, and sausage/onion/mushroom pies... All were great. If you like thin crust NY style pizza, go.

We love Colony. They do pizza. The do pizza right. The Stamford location is an old neighborhood bar showing sports on TV. Sit at the bar or in a booth. The only thing they serve is pizza, but it's the thin crust and short-list of toppings. Service is quick and the pizza is my favorite in town. Be warned, it's... More

We stopped here because their Hot Oil pizza was on CT's 50 dishes to try before you die list..... we can see why! Delish! Great place to relax, watch a game and enjoy a beer and pizza.

Pizza is very subjective but I have become a convert to Colony Grill's very thin pizza. Pizza is the only food served in this Stamford landmark. The staff is always friendly and the service is attentive. Good choice of draft beers. Actually a very family friendly place. I find excuses to go to Stamford just to eat at Colony.
