We enjoyed our evening at Olio. Our waitress was particularly good...well spoken, knew the menu, waited on us promptly, very pleasant. We shared small plates and they were fine...just not outstanding enough to get us to go back.

Although the food was good and the service was extremely attentive, I missed something about Olio. Perhaps it's the location or the bare decorations that didn't grab me. If I happened to be in Springdale, I might visit, but other than that, I wouldn't seek Olio out.

I’ve been pretty lucky with two visits to Olio Restaurant in Stamford over the last few weeks; each delivered some outstanding cuisine. The first was a quick stop for a burger to complete my update of the best burgers in Fairfield County and the second was a dinner visit a week later. Co-Owner Moira Hyland met our party of four... This is a real find. Not your standard Italian, American, Continental cuisine prevalent in better places around here. Everything we had was excellent with distinctive flavors. Check out their web site for descriptions. The service was attentive, the decor simple and straight forward and the seating comfortable. The place is quite small so reservations are important. We will add this... More

I loved my brunch dish of lobster eggs benedict and my friends chicken, mushroom crepe was tasty too! The atmosphere is a little loud because of the size and business of the location but it is worth it. I want to go back and try the rest of the menu.

We've been to be Olio 4 - 5 times in the last year. This place rocks! We recommend it to everyone who is looking for a great restaurant without having to travel out-of-town! Reminds us of the cafes in NYC. So glad to hear lunch is being served! We have not been disappointed with one thing about Olio! If you... More

As a local restaurant, Olio has uniquely mastered it's very loyal clientele and gradually developed into a small, but great experience - welcoming in every way. The interior is clean and simple, and as a result very stylish. The food is delicious, presented beautifully and there is always a smile from any member of staff upon arrival and departure. Often... Came here spur of the moment last evening before a snow storm. Olio was packed! Yet, they managed to find us a table reasonably quickly. Great value wine list! Home made pasta! Fresh salads! My friend and I shared the tri-color salad, then both had the house-made fettucine with butternut squash, wild mushrooms and Gorgonzola! Oh boy, terrific! Not my... More
