Was here for lunch 2x food is very average and I guess the reason I gave it 2 stars is I think it is overpriced. Frankly the last thing Stamford needs is another Italian overpriced restaurant.

Madronia has decent food and good service. Enjoyed Sunday brunch and while the menu isn't huge, there was something for everyone. Didn't like the 'banquet-like' setting (the main room)--it was large and not especially attractive.

I can't speak for items from the menu but the quality of the food for the 30 plus guests at the rehearsal dinner last night was very good. This Italian restaurant serves food that is authentically Italian, fresh and seasonal, with a bit of innovation. Bacon, lobster and tomato salad was beautiful and delicious. Pasta with wild boar ragu sauce was perfect. Seafood dishes were also very well prepared and presented. Wine list is excellent. Overall: wonderful food, wine and service in a lovely setting.
