Excellent pastas, portions, seasonings--delightful for eat in or take out

Villa Italia makes delicious pizzas that come piping hot out of their special pizza oven, which is on display in all of its working glory. As I am Hindu Vegetarian was worried about eating authentic Veg Italia provided that opportunity they got fresh onion peas based soup with Brusheta as starter was awesome and the surprise comes with pasta made out of vegetables with creams sauce I was floored. Little expensive but worth visiting

I've enjoyed this restaurant for some years now. I have reviewed it in the past when they were at their previous location. At that time it was common to have to queue in the entry to get a seat, but now that the new location is so much bigger (and nicer) that waiting outside is a thing of the past.... More

I came to Villa Italia because it was conveniently located to the Hampton Inn. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I got a seat right away (on a Wednesday night). I had Veal Saltenbocca, which was pretty tasty, but the veal may have been a bit overdone and tough. There was a ton of cheese on it, which was a... More

I've eaten here twice since it moved across to the Hampton Inn location. My hubby's family used to eat here often over the years at the other location, but I had not tried it when it was there. Both times I've eaten at Villa Italia I was nauseous after. The food is not very good and taste a little too... More

We had a group dinner eat villa italia, the food was disappointing. Especially the pasta dish with sausages and garlic and olive oil sauce, there was no sauce, the pasta was under cooked while the sausages were in an almost watery texture as those with fake meat. The dish was bland, tasteless.

Been going to this restaurant for years. Family run restaurant where everyone knows you. Best dishes are chicken milanese, lasagna, penne vodka, chicken piccata, chicken scarpialla, linguini with clams and mussels, pizza, and of course, the bread basket! Pricing is a bit off: appetizers and desserts are over priced. Entrees avg. $19-$22.

I stayed on business for 10 days in Stamford and used the bar and restaurant on numerous occasions. The bar is great, staff fantastic and friendly and the food magnificent. The spicy sausage and chicken was so good I had it two nights from the 6. Thank you to all the staff who made me feel very welcome even allowing... More

How many ways to fail. 1. Slooooowww service. Our reservation was at 7:45. Every step of the service took a long time. Good thing I'd had a light snack before I came. The server was pleasant, but... were they understaffed? Slow cook? I couldn't figure it out. 2. Lobster ravioli was fishy and shredded something... but I"m not sure it... More
