This is a really simple review. Loved the food, loved the service and really loved the prices. The menu is extensive...something for everybody. The only thing that I am sorry about is that I didn't know about Cafe Silvium sooner!

Checked out the trusty TripAdvisor app and made made the trip out here for dinner. If I knew any better I should have made reservations as this place was busy on a Thursday night with all tables filled with happy patrons. I ordered a glass of Pinot Noir and waited about 20 minutes before I was served. The waiter who... More

From the beginning, Nikki or Vincenzo greet you warmly and it all continues. Wait staff, light, bright and a breath of fresh air. Knowledgeable. Wine pours are amazing. Quality of food, especially the fish is superb.and you never will leave looking for more to eat.. Very fair pricing. Desserts average. Oh, I forgot the beans , bread and olive oit... More

The line and waiting is not pleasant, there is no space, but the food is worth the wait. You can make reservations during the week (recommended) but on the weekend only on parties of 5 or more. I have nothing to say but Wow! Coming from NYC, this place is "little Italy" worthy. Have to experience this place, if you're... More

I've been traveling in the NYC-CT-MA region with a business colleague who was raving about this 'great place in Stamford' so we made a point of dinner there this week. I was fully prepared to be disappointed for a couple of reasons: It is tough for a restaurant to be as good as someone claims (expectations are tough to meet)... More

Dropped in early in the week for lunch, on the late side. Even at that time there was a wait, quite long. Food was excellent, veal tender and mussels cooked just right, not over cooked and tough. Wine by the glass was a bit disappointing, a lot better reasonably priced Italian wine out there. Ceasar salad was okay, but nothing... More

Great Italian food is hard to pull off & this place does it RIGHT. Yes, the wait might be long, but that is how you know a place is really good. They can even accommodate my large 12 person family. The place is small & hard to maneuver. But, their fried calamari is so worth it. I personally love it... More

Would recommend reservations as this is a fairly small restaurant and does not have a lounge area in the usual sense. However, well worth a wait for very good italian food. Menu and wine list are both somewhat limited, making it easy to decide and select what you want. Desserts are very good and a nice touch of Lemoncello.

Have been to Cafe Sylvium severla times on my numerous business trips to Stamford, one of the best Italian restaurants around, food is great but it is very cramped with tables close together so no quiet romantice meals for 2 :)
