Excellent Portions, Good Service, Nice Menu Variety

I went a few months ago with some friends of mine, only one who had been before. We had early reservations for a Monday night thinking it would be on the quiet side. Boy, were we wrong! It was absolutely packed! Service was good, although the table was a little cramped. I had a veal cutlet over... read more

Food well prepared, sauces especially good, and the presentation bountiful. The environment is filled with "food" energy, and the diners generate a really positive excitement. Pan Fried Grouper was outstanding as were the Zucchini blossoms. Salads great and the supporting cast of mussels, etc. always on target. Service timely and efficient. Prices represent a value.....a must stop for a great... More

I had veal piccata. The wine was too bitter and had not been sufficiently cooked off. Salata cappers was good with a spicy basil.

Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Always a healthy buzz of loud conversation whenever you go into this place, their mussels are the best in Stamford and the pasta dishes are what you'd expect of a traditional Italian restaurant. Only problem is that they always seem to be out of their famous rack of lamb!

We've been there a few times and enjoyed the food and good service. This visit was no exception. The appetizers/salads were very good. Our meals were outstanding. And service was excellent. But.... when the place is crowded, the noise level is unbearable. Don't plan on meaningful conversation, so just enjoy the food and move on.

My monthly visits to Silvium are always the same. The food is consistently excellent, and the prices are most reasonable. Service is friendly and quick. The "old Stamford" crowd is always visible on almost any night. Seafood, osso buco, are standouts. May it never change.

Consistent with the TA reviews, we chose to come while staying one night in Stamford. An excellent choice, the food was terrific. Also to note, the service was really good, attentive but never hurrying us. One thing to be aware of, make reservations. This was a Thursday night and I assumed it would be a quiet evening. Wrong, it was... More

We were a group of six and we had reservations. They had a great table for us. We had our drinks when their kitchen fan conked out. They didn't take in any more customers for the evening, and they told us we would have some delays and certain items (fried stuff) they had to take off the menu. Nevertheless, they... More

Lots of selection, great daily/weekly specials, great food, decent portions, excellent value for money. Excellent service. I just did not like the fact that the tables were so close together - had to move my chair twice to let guests pass. Otherwise I would have given an "Excellent"

Food is great and the environment is always fun! Parking is a challenge but once inside totally worth the hassle.
