Go often because we live right near it. Love the atmosphere, food is great, and wait staff is always friendly. If I had to say one thing that bugs me, it would have to be the linens. I'm all about homey, and its not so bad the napkins don't match, but an iron would be nice.

Just a few minutes ago, I saw an ad for the Rathskeller in which the NY Times referred to the restaurant as "...reliably tasty." I have to say that they nailed it. That phrase captures our recent dining experience there. Among the many dishes we tried, Rathskellar did not have "peaks and valleys." It had "peaks and plateaus." Some dishes... More

I went back after not being there for a couple years. The food was not very good. Poorly prepared, low quality provisions and lacked seasoning.

The entrée list is extensive and every meal we've had was well prepared. Deserts are excellent too. Friendly staff and a small, intimate atmosphere. Prices are quite good especially considering how good the food is. We like it every time we go there.i always make it a place to visit every-time I'm in Conn. and take my family there. Don... More

We stopped for late lunch after attending event at Southbury Library. This happened to be nearest from Library and decided to try out. First, the server was very pleasant. My husband ordered Chicken Gyro and I ordered Confetti Quesadilla. Both were very good. I loved coleslaw came with Gyro a lot. tzatziki sauce lacks cucumber flavor but was good. I... More

Whilst on a business trip in the US, I went here with business friends for dinner, as they highly recommended it and eat there often. Really good restaurant, with great food, service and atmosphere. Incredibly extensive menu - so much choice I couldn't decide and took the easy option of a salad starter and a main course special, which was... More

Best blue cheese hamburger in the area. Great French onion soup. Nice Bloody Mary. Service is great here. Have been here a number of times and have never had a bad meal.

I ate here today and ordered the pulled pork tostadas. The menu didn't state that the pork was BBQ pulled pork and I was expecting pulled pork, no sauce (maybe a light salt and pepper or splash of lime the way its served in Mexican dishes). I am not a fan of BBQ sauce and the meat was literally drenched... More
