Really try to have dinner at La Scogliera - you will be so pleased. The food is just like your grandmother used to make. So excellent my group is still talking about the food - and it is a month later. You will not be disappointed. A little on the pricey side, but who cares when you know it is... More

The owners are wonderful, friendly people, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is quite nice. It may not seem it as it is in a strip mall location, but don't let the fool you. Best Italian food for miles and miles around!

My wife and I had dinner here last night (Sat. night). It was our second or third visit, but first in a couple of years. The food was great, as it was previously, and our waiter Mike was also very good. I had the Delmonico steak with 2 stuffed shrimp, which was quite good and cooked as ordered. My wife... More

Wow! Hands down the best Italian food I've had outside of NYC. We started with the escargot which were savory and perfectly prepared the delicate flavor was nicely complimented with just the right seasoning and didn't overpower the delicate flavor. As an entrée I loved the Saltimbocca Alla Romana - sautéed veal with prosciutto, again the dish was masterfully prepared.... More

We loved the bread and olive oil. We were waited on by the owner and her daughter, We thought they were very nice. My husband enjoyed his chicken parm very much. I had a yummy salad with walnuts and blue cheese and the fried calamari for my dinner. I thought the calamari was a bit overcooked and when my husband... More

Many pastas are home made, everything very tasty. A bit pricey but meals are made to order and their sauce is delicious....you get what you pay for.

They have plenty of mouths to feed, but what's one more on a regular basis? You make me feel like part of the family anyway! I've had the pleasure of dining here several times and it's always a treat. There's something for everyone, but there are two specials not to be missed if they're on the board...Lobster Fra Diavolo and... More

My husband and I eat out a lot and are extremely particular. When we were first married in 1986 we lived in Bridgeport and La Scogliera was located on Madison Avenue in Bridgeport. It was one of our favorite places. They since moved to Shelton and I have been desperate to try it. So, my husband took me and my... More

We were glad to see that on a Tuesday only a few people were in La Scogliera so it was quiet enough to talk. This is important when one member of a couple wears a hearing aid. The veal choices sounded good and tasted okay. A side of pasta comes with every meal. Best of all is their bread with... More
