I had the best zuppa di clams of my life last night at Trattoria Roma in Shelton, CT. Lots of big, fresh, juicy, clams and perfect sauce. Excellent service, too. YUM.

What happened to this place? Service use to be very attentive and friendly. Now you will be lucky if you get bread. Went there on a Sunday couple weeks ago and the brunette waitress came over her shirt was so small her stomach was coming out and on top as well. The food was original taste nothing to be excited... The title of my review says it all. We did a take-out of their pizza and it is authentic NY pizza. Anyone who is familiar with NY style pizza who then moves out of the area, knows the value of finding a good pizza place. Cannot comment on the interior of the restaurant, but the pizza was delicious---it disappeared like... More

Bad service. Eggplant parm was mush and the sauce was pasty and tasted like it came out of a can. Lasagna wasn't much better. Will never go back!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE - they DISHONEST. (1) they accept the coupon on the phone, but they deny it at the check-out. (2) food temperature: lukewarm with ice. NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE.

The food is delicious and usually consistent as long as Carlo is in the kitchen. The prices are good and you get a dish enough to please anyone. The Tuesday night special is a great deal and a perfect spot for families. Great pizza and pastas

Very small place tucked in a strip mall off the main road very near the Jones Vineyard and Farm. Very pleasant staff. Seated 8 of us immediately. Nice apps and warm homemade bread/ rolls. Chicken and Sausage special was plentiful and very spicey. Italian combo was excellent. Salads were crisp. We were 8 for 8 on entrees. Veal was superb... More

I will join the other reviewers on TripAdvisor in recommending TrattorIa Roma. Before visiting a friend in Shelton, I checked out TripAdvisor to find a place for a casual Saturday evening dinner. Based on the other reviews, I chose Trattoria Roma. It is a small place, tucked away in a shopping plaza. The dining room is actually a bit cramped,... More

Finally! A fantastic place for terrific pizza and delicious meals. Until we found Trattoria Roma there really wasn't much to choose from. We order or visit at least once a week. They never disappoint!
