Cozy bistro/grill in an upscale neighborhood serving very good food.

Our first visit, the 6 of us stayed for a very long evening and we're very happy with our drinks and meals. The bolognese sauce was fantastic, my recommendation to the restaurant, also offer it over pasta instead not just gnocchi. The salmon was delicious, as was the tuna tartare, short rib... read more

The bolognese sauce was fantastic, my recommendation to the restaurant, also offer it over pasta instead not just gnocchi. My wife and I went with another couple and sat at a table in the bar area after having a drink at the bar. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive and unlike other restaurants they were able to keep one tab for the bar and the dinner. We all loved our food. I had the cannelloni with short ribs.... The food is consistently good and prepared in innovative ways. The burger and fries is always great and they have good cold beers on tap and a nice choice of wines by the glass. I don't think it's great for kids - the main room is too stuffy. Personally, I prefer to eat in the bar - I like the... More

Been to Sails many many times, and first time giving a review. There are lots of really great things about Sails. Nice decor cozy dining room with fireplace, outdoor seating weather permitting, a comfortable bar, very friendly staff. The quality of the food is top notch. Creative dishes with lots of flavor. Steak frites, tuna tartar, braised short ribs over... More

It has been a while, so maybe it changed, but it seemed very dark - I mean really dark - when we were there. We went w/ our three year-old. I think the dark ambiance might even be over the top for a romantic outing, but definitely not for dinner w/ a toddler.

We tried Sails for the first time on December 20, with friends who live locally. Part of the appeal was that the chef was sensitive to various food allergies, and hence two of our party had a higher level of comfort that we could enjoy a good meal without worry, which proved to be the case. We arrived for an... More

Maître d' on Sunday afternoon was warm and friendly. We sat outside which was very pleasant. We had the classic burger and tuna burger both were excellent as were the fries. I wanted a glass of rose but when I asked our server what rose he had, he said "we don't have whispering angel any more only this one" pointing... More

We had a late lunch at sails Sunday, August 17th. There were 12 folks in our party. Sails was VERY accommodating and built us a nice, long table outside on the deck. It was a beautiful day...and the food and drink were extraordinary. My wife and I split Pork Belly Tacos...Steamed Mussels and Deviled Eggs. Everything was perfect...and we then... More

We have eaten here a couple times since it became Sails and it was very mediocre and not worth the price. We had heard they changed chefs, so figured we would give it another shot. We went for Father's Day in June, and trust me nothing has changed. The same poor service, but more importantly the gouging for average food... More

Just got home from Sails and I have to say I was not impressed with the food! My gnocchi was just terrible! The sauce was good, but the gnocchi was mush! They were very soft and mushy! However, the Caesar salad was delicious! And the desert called the salty turtle was to die for! I washed it all down with... More
