While staying at the Super 8 next door we stopped by the Dakota for lunch... interesting atmosphere, comfortable and ... the food was great! Friendly hostess and staff made our indecision into a wonderful experience. We also went back later that day and enjoyed their comfortable bar and appetizers...

Refreshing hunting lodge decor for this area greeted us. Salad bar was well stocked, fresh and clean. Dinner bread was a bit crispy, almost felt toasted. Filet, chicken and salmon all were presented nicely. Steak was well seasoned and prepared. Apple crisp a la mode was a tasty finish! Staff was professional, prompt and friendly even during training. I recommend... More

Enjoyed Sunday Brunch with my family. Our server Brittany was very pleasant, and attentive. The food was fresh and hot. My favorite was the roast beef, sliced thin with a side of horseradish sauce. Delicious and tender! Love the breakfast type foods for brunch, which they mostly serve. The only thing my husband commented on, was the waffles were sort... More

We had one of our frequent TGIF dinners at Dakota's of Rocky Hill, CT a few days ago. As usual, it was a great experience...friendly greeting from the hostess, nice wait staff, tasty bread, good filet mignon and salmon...and a salad bar that my husband truly enjoys! Considering the excellent food and the amount you get to eat, the value... More

I ordered the prime rub my husband and I . The meat was very salted which maid the meat dry. On the side they gave you dipping sauce and that to was salty .as well. To bad because I think it would of been very good meal..

Dakota is a great spot to walk into on a cold night; their fireplaces and warm wood décor are welcoming. I agree with other reviewers that this restaurant lends itself to feel like a chain steakhouse, I personally was looking for that when I saw the sign off the highway. I didn’t want to pay $50 to eat dinner by... More

Hi Jason, just to further clarify, the restaurants that have been slowly closing were owned by a different company. The owners of the Dakota of Rocky Hill are the original owners of this restaurant and we have no intention nor need to close. More

Our team went here for a year-end luncheon, so I can only review from that perspective. There were approx. 30 folks in our group. We had a section of the restaurant where there were 5 tables. The ambience of the restaurant is rustic - with animal heads hanging on the walls. The staff was friendly and courteous. We started out... More

Me and my family, went to Dakota for dinner this Wednesday. it was our first time, so we did not know what to expect. We had an absolutely wonderful time! Our server Leah was fantastic; she answered all of our questions and was very polite; she cheeked on us often and made us feel welcome. The food was great too,... More

I found this place to be a lot like a Texas Roadhouse or Longhorns. The steak was what you'd expect from a chain...maybe a little too salty. Clam chowder was good, but again...very generic. Staff was friendly and prices weren't ridiculous. Would I go again? Probably not. I was hoping for something different and this wasn't it.

Hi Luc, thank you for sharing your opinion. However, in all due respect, we are not a chain. We cut all of our meat in house and make our bread and desserts from scratch. I am sorry to hear that we were not able to WOW you. More
