This past summer my relatives and I had a birthday dinner at this traditional New England restaurant/inn off of Rt. 7 South in Ridgefield CT. We arrived early and had drinks in the small, cozy bar area and chatted to the maitre d' who told us the history of the property. We then moved to the small, informal dining room... More

We have lived in this part of Connecticut for 53 years and for many of them have known Stonehenge to be considered one of the state's premier restaurants. After taking my immediate family there for 2013 Christmas dinner as a very special treat and at a cost of $600 for the five of us, I must sadly take Stonehenge off... More

Was just there for Christmas. Agree with other reviewers, that the food is mediocre and overpriced. The decor is in need of refreshing (looks like the flower arrangements were arranged in the 70s or 80s and are a bit dusty). The waitstaff was good, though, but the fellow handling valet parking was rude in that he didn't pull the car up... More

We went for dinner on November 22, 2013. At 6 pm there were no other customers. The food was very mediocre bordering on bad. Had the Hanger Steak, cooked medium, and it was so chewy I couldn't eat it. Spinach is loaded with garlic. The veal was mushy. One or two other couples came in while we were there, but... More

Have gone there over the years! Last night went there for another function. Food and service were just great! I was surprised that they were able to service over 90 people within a short period of time and keep the quality of the food and service at a high level. Great job and enjoyable evening. I'll definitely go back with... More

This is easily one of the best restaurants in the Ridgefield area. We had a great meal. Be sure and order the soufflé for desert. It's tranquil classic dining area allows one to concentrate on the matters at hand, I,e eating and a having good conversation. The service is attentive. One wonders why it is not more popular. My guess... More

Dined at the Stonehenge restaurant and enjoyed every morsel. This property has been around since the 1940's but we had never eaten there before. The menu selection was varied and every selection was delicious. the service was attentive, the dining room comfortable and the table spaced so that we were not cramped and could carry on a normal conversation. Since... More

Stonehenge is one of those places where you want to go for good food and conversation. It may be too quiet for others but when I dine I want to hear the other person I'm with. The service is outstanding and since we've been there a couple of times over the year, they comment about remembering us. It is one... More

I have dined here several times. Though one is warmly greeted upon arrival, the whole dining experience seems to be lacking. It seemed curious that there were so few diners on what would normally be busy nights. Decor does not meet with historical standards nor has it been updated to meet the current trends, but instead, seems to be stuck... More

Location is perfect for a days outing if ur driving yourself from London. It has got a mysterious feel to its origins and the shape it is in at the moment. If history excites you then this is the place to be in.
