Creative menu; nice surprise in Ridgefield

We have lived in Ridgefield for 5 years and this is our restaurant in town. We usually order lots of small things and share, and really enjoy the creativeness of the menu and the fact that it changes each season. We particularly enjoy the soups, salads, appetizers and deserts (we often skip the main plates these are so good!). Pretty... More

I unfortunately chose this restaurant for a special Father's Day Brunch. The ambiance was cute but on the drab side. The waitress was pleasant but not attentive. I had to ask the bus boy what beverages were available. My freshly squeezed orange juice had great flavor but was too warm. My husband's Bloody Mary was so full of horseradish that... More

We started with brunch cocktails and prosecco. My husband and I enjoyed a refreshing cucumber soup that was flavored with a touch of fresh mint. For our main course we had freshly made tortalloni filled with goat cheese and chanterelles and studded with sauted chanterelles and asparagus. The pasta was very tender. The butter sauce was perfectly seasoned. Pleasant, attentive... More

My wife and I love to cook at home and have very high standards when it comes to having a great experience at a restaurant. EVERY time we go to Bailey's they exceed our expectations and over-deliver with an excellent meal. Perfect sized portions with terrific combinations of flavors and beautifully simplistic presentation. A nice wine list as well! Once... More

I hesitate to write this review for fear that this gem of a restaurant will be overtaken by those less appreciative. This food is inventive, creative and always delicious. The menu changes frequently, and all additions are as delicious as the last. The chef rivals any in Fairfield County, or New York City, for that matter. Maybe the chef at... More

Very thoughtful menu, delicious food, and a wonderful presentation. Staff was very friendly, meals are prompt and cocktails are fantastic and well priced. Highly recommended. Best food in Ridgefield, by far.

We've been to Bailey's dozens of times since it opened over ten years ago. We have always enjoyed our outings. Until recently. Our group of five went for Sunday brunch recently and was completely turned off by the demeanor of the hostess. We needed a fifth chair for our table of five (our reservation was for five as well) and... More

Bailey's latest iteration is a satisfying farm to table experience, though it comes at a price. The food is made from fresh, local ingredients that are prepared in a creative fashion with almost universally delicious results. Daily specials are worth a try, but the menu offers something for everyone, although vegetarians don't have much to choose from. The only consistent... More

Impressive entree presentation and friendly service. It can get a bit loud, but they also have seating on the side of the restaurant that can be much quieter. Always a yummy meal!
