Good Food and Service

My wife, I and my son stopped for dinner at the Hearthstone on a Friday night. The food and service was good and it was not crowded. It is in a really old and interesting building with some nice touches. Not sure of the history of the building but it has to be quite old. They had a band that... read more

The atmosphere is delightful - you can sit at the bar or in the many private booths. Lunch is top-notch - I had the A Cup ‘N’ a Half - a cup of lobster bisque with a half sandwich - the Hearthstone Club (Oven roasted turkey on toasted wheat, topped with Applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato & mayonnaise). My spouse... More

My stops at the Hearthstone Tavern are normally on a weekend for a late lunch. The restaurant area is never busy at that time but there are always enough customers in the bar area for pleasant conversations or with the bar tender. My last stop here was on a Thursday for a quick dinner with a friend. Once we saw... More

There were about 20 of us that went to Hearthstone for dinner. Everyone was happy with their meal. Heather was our waitress and did a fine job. The next day, my mother and sister visited Hearthstone and loved their meal as well. It was loud and difficult to hear even though we had a room to ourselves.

Went mid afternoon on Saturday. pretty quiet as there was no sports going on. Came in for a snack. Had wings with blueberry sauce. OMG. great taste and totally different. Wahed down with hard cider. great midday treat. The place is a great open space with a dining area separate from the bar. Host jerry is a character who will... More

Surprisingly good for what we thought was a sports bar. Great selection of craft beers on tap. We had the steamed mussels and lobster appetizer. The entries were both good and the service from Carrie was excellent.

We had no expectations for this restaurant. We just found the closest place to our B&B. But we were very pleasantly surprised to find wonderful food, despite the unassuming pub atmosphere. I had the hangar steak and "dumplings", which were actually fabulous mushroom ravioli sauteed in browned butter and brown sugar. The hangar steak was tender and cooked to perfection... More

Nice atmosphere. Good selection of craft beers on tap. Bartender wasn't bad, very nice. The food was not impressive. I guess if you want a nice place to drink and you don't care about the food, check this place out. The apps - they all came out very quickly. This tells me they were pre-made and warmed in the microwave... More

Very nice beer selection all on tap. I had the Shepard's Pie which was different but good. Lots of peppers with shredded meat that was tender. My wife had the French Dip but she felt that the meat was not tender and a bit veiny. The sweet potato fries were huge in size and ok. Very nice decor but overall,... More

We liked the warm feeling of this restaurant, and the food was really good, with generous portions. My only complaint is that the server was slow and a little forgetful--had to ask her a couple of times for parts of our order. Otherwise, it was great!
