A Frozen Gem

I liked it, very much. I agree with "thomas o" in his assessment that it lacked basic facilities. Yes -- for goodness sakes, Rich Farm, something better than a portapotty would be a decent addition, as would a sink or water dispenser. Excellent ice cream, i thought, and super friendly servers... read more

We recently moved to this area of Ct. and stumbled across Rich Farm on a drive. What a find! I LOVE ice cream and honestly feel that this is the best i've ever had! My favorite so far is chocolate peanut butter swirl, but mint chocolate chip (so-o-o cool and refreshingly minty) is a close second. If you are anywhere... More

I took my 2 granddaughters to Rich's on the premise it was the best ice cream in Ct. It was not. We drove 30 minutes to get there and were dissapointed. They were busy, but on a warm sunny day, they lacked even the most basic facilities. A place to wash up after the ice creme ran down your hands.... More

We visited last year for the first time - we left thinking it was good but not awesome. After our second visit we both really liked it and agreed the ice cream was better than we remembered. Upon reflection I think the difference is that for this visit it was very busy but not crazy crowded. Last time the parking... More

Absolutely the best ice cream ever, and the dirtiest portajohn. Make sure you don't need it, also could use more umbrellas in the summer. Went 3 times in a week.

Truly the freshest, creamiest ice cream ever. And I love ice cream! Always crowded, but lines move at an okay pace. Very large serving sizes at a very reasonable price. I was a little disappointed this trip because the bathroom inside was closed and there was only a port-a-potty in the dark far corner of the parking lot. I would... More

Love, love their ice cream.. So happy I live close by, but well worth the journey by all. The staff is friendly and so are the crowds. I especially like all of the "cow" ice creams.

Frozen Greek yoghurt beats any froyo around including Peachwave and 16 Handles. Ice cream is creamiestbfrim farm- fresh milk. Whipped cream is from scratch. Can't be beat.

A landmark in Oxford. Be prepared to stand in line when you go! The ice cream is fresh and there is a nice selection of flavors. The maple walnut is superb; we also like the fresh peach during peach season in CT. Not a lot of places to sit; both times we chose to prop ourselves against a few large... More

I've read the great reviews of Rich Farm and thoroughly understand the high ratings. Call me picky, but I find the ice cream to be rather bland. While to the Farm offers a wide range of favors, none that I've had provide the depth of flavor I like. You'll have to try the Farm yourself to make your own judgment.
