Good food, good service often hard to find in a Family Restaurant

Three challenges when you got to this restaurant. 1) Finding it- saw the sign on I-95 S to get off at Exit 41 but nothing after that, 2) Finding a parking place - the place was packed on a Thursday at 11 am, and 3) Making up your mind of what to order navigating through an extensive menu. It was late in the evening and I wanted a breakfast type burrito and ended up going to Chips. I have been to many times before and figured if anyone could get me what I wanted, it would be them. They made my breakfast burrito custom to the way I like it!!! Hit the spot!

Our family, of ten, went to Chips on a Sunday morning. It was crowded, but we waited under five minutes to be seated. The server was attentive, pleasant and always nearby. The food was tasty and we never waited long for coffee refills.

I’ve seen the billboard for years on I-95 and finally had the chance to stop in for breakfast early one Sunday morning. Simply put - - great pancakes!!! I did not order the pancakes, I stole them from my wife. Home fries and bacon are great too. Friendly service also. Enjoy.

When I first arrived and entered the restaurant, me and my guest wasn't greeted by staff, stood there for at least 3-4 minutes wondering when someone was going to greet and ask us how many? Finally once of the servers asked us how many after I gave him the clueless look. Our waitress was not that knowledgeable of the menu,... More

The food is good, not great, but it isn't a fine dining restaurant and more than serves the purpose for breakfast or a comfortable lunch or dinner. How well they do is confirmed by how the business as grown to a few other successful location in CT in the last couple of years.

Please don't serve food if you don't know how to make it. Crab eggs Benedict served with Nutella pancakes and strawberries!?!?! No English muffin no potato and worst of all no flavor. Maybe the pancakes are ok, but I will NOT be back. On the plus side our server was a doll, very attentive and cordial. The owners also seem... More

I recently had a chance to share a dining experience with my wife while visiting Orange, CT in September. We were on the Post Road, it was lunch time, and we came into view of Chips Restaurant. Having eaten there while in town for business, I felt confident that I would not go wrong bringing my "discriminating wife" there for... More

Chips is a really popular breakfast spot. The line was out the door and the place was packed. It reminds me of the Pancake House in my hometown. Definitely has name recognition and that's why people come. The food is good, but not the most amazing breakfast you'll eat. The prices are a bit on the high side, but again,... More

We were seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant. When asked when a booth would be free we were told it could be awhile. We weren't seated 2 minutes when a booth was available but we already had our coffee so we stayed where we were. The 2+2+2+2 special is great . Two eggs, pancakes ( get... More
