This is a cozy oldtime Saybrook standby in a very old building with a saggy porch. It is very comfy, and many locals do stop in. The place is often pretty busy with customers ranging from bikers and fisherman to the garden club ladies and golfers. The bar has pool tables and a cozy sporty charm. We have found the... More

We ate here on a late Saturday afternoon. They were at about 1/3 capacity and the server was terrible, so bad so we had to track her down just to get the check. We each ordered the lobster rolls, one was cold and the other hot. Neither of the rolls were very good, and probably among the worse lobster rolls... More

One of the local landmarks in OS. Food is ok and the atmosphere is certainly unique! Rustic interior compliments the rustic patrons.

Great place to grab some of the BEST wings I have had. A lot of the locals go here so if you sit at the bar you can find out what is happening in town. If you go here you MUST try the wings. I love wings and have had wings all across the U.S. and they are so good.... More

We found monkey farm on trip advisor. The location is perfect for passerby's and locals. We were greeted promptly and serviced very professionally. Cash only. But very reasonably priced. 25.00 for two sandwiches and two fountain drinks.

The best lunch in Old Saybrook. Don't judge a restaurant by its cover. Stop and go inside for a real treat. Those in the know in Old Saybrook love the Monkey Farm. Thought of as a biker hangout, not so. Anyway ay lunch. Don't miss areal treat for the whole family.

If you're not a local dirtbag don't expect to get any service and once you finally fight to get it don't be sad when the food wasn't worth it anyway! Not happy

Some of the best lobster rolls you'll find anywhere--CT or RI style. Tuna also always superior. Very casual atmosphere. All cash, no cards but ATM on site. Very extensive menu that they manage to keep the quality up on just about every item. Service is very, very good, If you are looking for upscale environment, look elsewhere. If you are... More
