We joined two friends for a midweek dinner. The special prices for oysters served as a great appetizer. They were plump, fresh and delicious. We all had different entree's to experience as much as possible. Common things such as Fish and Chips, Fish Tacos and Skewered Shrimp presented in an elegant fashion made them stand apart from those served in... More

Good seafood, and appetizers. Had two servings of oysters as they were terrific. Service was just adequate. When they realized we were just having drinks and appetizers it became noticeably slower. Would still go back as there dinners we've had before were very good.

My husband and I visited Livs on a snowy Valentine's Day- and it was a meal to remember. Excellent service, one of the best meals I have had i a long time- and they presented all ladies with a fresh flower at the end of the meal.

Joined another couple at Liv's for a long overdue reunion. We chose Liv's as it was the 1/2 way point for each. We were not disappointed! No parking could be found on Main St., but ample parking was a short, brisk walk from the rear lot. I enjoyed a great martini w/ extra olives- shrimp cocktail and fried calamari were... More

Enjoyed it all- our first visit👍👍... Made the drive from New Haven and was not disappointed... Nice setting, good service and great food... We had a few oysters, clam chowder, crab cakes -all crab less breading. And the seared tuna over olive oil mash potatoes.. Good portions and all prepared perfectly..good menu but I wouldn't mind a few more choices... More

We went to Liv's during the Saybrook Candlelight Parade. We had no idea it was such a big night in town. It was hard finding parking because of the activities but walking thru the streets and watching the parade was a great treat as we threaded our way to the restaurant! The staff was friendly and very helpful. This was... More

Been to Liv's many times over the past few months and have always found the service to be consistently good and the food excellent. Raw bar is a treat and the entrees well worth the price. Will continue to go back. Reservations are suggested and in the summer months a definite must.

We look forward to this restaurant when we go for weekend getaway. It is in the lovely town of Old Saybrook so it's been close to several places we have stayed. We have come in summer, fall and even winter and each time found service, food and atmosphere to be excellent. Very creative dishes and open views of kitchen make... More

We had a great dining experience and enjoyed the atmosphere. For an appetizer we had the raw bar platter which has oysters, clams and shrimp all of which were amazing. The lobster risotto was our favorite dish followed by the butternut squash with lobster. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
