Nice atmosphere and excellent food

The raw bar is fantastic and the oysters delicious. We ordered a small clam chowder and calamari for an appetizer. The clam chowder was very good in my opinion, although a little to spicy for my wife. The calamari was among the best. For entress, we went with the tuna and halibut and it was... read more

This is our favorite restaurant. It is our date night place; John and his staff never disappoint us. The faroe island salmon they have on the menu right now is the best I have ever had. Cooked to a perfect medium rare - if I could eat it every night I would. Truffle fries are out of this world and... More

Fabulous dinner started at the bar, where I had a delicious Blood Orange margarita. Wellfleet Oysters, shucked to order, were delicious. Seared sea scallops (on bed of smashed peas, with bacon and onion) may be the best I've ever had in a restaurant. So delicious. My husband enjoyed the fish tacos, which we saw a gentleman eating at the bar.... More

We'd been to Liv's at least a dozen times over the past 9 years. It's always been good; we think it's gotten better. We shared starter orders of Old Bay French Fries and the Fried Artichoke and Asparagus. Both were to die for. I know "light" and "fried" don't usually describe the same dish, but the battered artichokes were truly... More

Great place for fresh seafood. Nice decor and runs smoothly. They make really good martinis and specialty drinks.

We had dinner here during our recent trip to the area. The meal was fantastic from start to finish. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. My husband enjoyed the oysters he had for his appetizer. I had a bowl of clam chowder. It was a little thinner than I was expecting, but was still delicious, tasting briny as the sea,... More

Been to this rest a dozen times. Service is always good, food is always very good. A little on pricey side. Best deal is their happy hour with a great deal on oysters always fresh.

I can't say enough about this restaurant. The server made great suggestions and was very courteous. The food was incredible. We had the salmon which was the best I've ever had in a restaurant. They have a lot of choices. The atmosphere is very nice. I would definitely go back.

As we were in Hartford, we remembered an enjoyable meal we had last year at Liv's and thought on our way back down we would give it another try. We split the Caesar salad,, for my main course I had the Lobster Roll, served on a lightly buttered Brioche roll, about a pound and a quarter pure lobster, all meat... More
