Although we only visit friends in Old Saybrook once a year, we always seem to make it back to Nancy's for lunch or dinner. All the "locals" we visit come on a regular basis, which is a good indication that the quality of food and service continues throughout the year. The night that 8 of us visited it was extremely... Although the décor is dated, the garlic bread that came when we were seated was great, the eggplant parm was delicious, and I am told that the veggie burger was great. The only criticism was that my sister's shrimp in the scampi was overcooked. She loved the sauce and the rest of the dish, but when she mentioned that the... More

Try the scallop and red bell soup. Can recommend both the pear salad and salmon special (mango sauce the night we went). Friendly staff, good service.

Dining at Rosemary and Sage never disappoints! This restaurant is a favorite. My friend and I love to sit at the bar. The crowd is always friendly and the attention you get from Nancy, the owner, makes you feel as if you are the most important patron in the restaurant. We often order from the specials listed on the blackboard.... More

The food was really good. The petite option is a great value and much appreciated. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The decor is an example of less is more. Take down the dreadful polyester window treatments, the bamboo blinds can stand on their own. Please, please remove all the depressing motel style paintings. if I get a third wish,... More

This restaurant was recommended by a local. I was looking for a romantic spot where conversation and good food went together. We sat at the bar for a before dinner drink, but ended up sitting there for dinner as well. The calamari appetizer was a generous portion of a spicy mix of calamari rings and peppers in a lite sauce.... More

Usually Trip Advisor steers us in the right direction. While the restaurant has a lovely ambiance and upscale friendly waitstaff and owners the food is lacking. A few changes using quality ingredients and classical techniques of cooking will make a deserving 4 or even 5 star rating. The Champagne sauce and Picatta sauces were thickened with cornstarch and I detected... More
