Stopped in to Pizza Works for lunch today on our way to the Outlets. Hadn't been here in a while and was pleasantly reminded why I should come here more often. One its a fun place for smaller children who like trains, plus it's right next to actually train station. We had the Gorganzola salad and the Bacon, Spinach and... More

If you like Gorgonzola - you've GOT to have their salad - SSSooooooooooooooo delicious - not to mention their Gorgonzola pizza with yellow and red bell peppers and roasted garlic. Of course - the train layouts are worth visiting for! Note the DETAILS - lots of humor and surprise. All around fun place to go - train station!

It's a little hidden but worth looking for. The location is awesome if you like trains. It sits next to the train station so you get to see and feel the trains go by. There's not a lot so don't worry it isn't going to ruin your meal. The pizza only comes one size cut into eight pieces, enough for... More

Went with friends, really enjoyed the pizza. And there were vegan options too. Shame that the salad and the breads all included Parmesan otherwise it would have been perfect. If you are vegetarian remind them that you don't want Parmesan.

If you want and LOVE pizza- this is the place for you! Unfortunately, I did not see a menu before my family brought us to Pizza Works. I was wanting something besides pizza and pasta. The service is Slooooooooooooooow. It was a nice night so I was glad we sat outside to watch the trains go by. The pizza I... More

With all the fanfare given to Sally's and Pepe's and New Haven pizza, Pizza Works in Old Saybrook serves up their own slice of heaven. With a wide assortment of toppings, the pizza comes in one size, a nice medium pie, that has a very thing crust. Your dinner starts off with a basket of crust, which is a great... More

I never met a pizza not worth eating, so my gourmand standards could be contested! Nonetheless, Pizza Works is my favorite pizzaria -- great salads, excellent menu variety, excellent wine and beer choices. But I do not need all the choices: I always eat the pizza with all the "works" plus anchovies. In a word, excellent. PS: love the model... More

We had an enjoyable lunch. The food was very fresh and tasty. My husband and I shared a whole wheat cheese pizza with mushrooms, I also had a side salad- very fresh. Our daughter had the lunch size portion of baked ziti. She liked hers as well. The waitress was very friendly and gave us excellent service. This is a... More

Great little place! The pizza was delicious - My mom and I split a loaded up veggie pizza which was fantastic . Wish I'd gotten a large to take some back on the plane the next day! They have gluten free pizza crust which is why we ended up here (that and we heard about the trains!) - my kids... More

Pizza Works has a huge selection of both red and white pizzas - and many are very unique. Pizzas like: clam & bacon, tex mex, potato, shrimp & sundried tomatoes to name a few. The best part is if you can't narrow down which type to choose they will let you get a pizza half one style, half another. We... More
