Second visit in a week!

Pizza Works is a hidden gem here in Old Saybrook by the Train Station. We had not been here in a couple of years, but our daughter and her boyfriend go here quite often! The specialty pizza is excellent! The Salads are the the best on the Shoreline, excellent variety, portions are huge (good for... read more

The service was so bad that I ended up walking out. The waitress was extremely rude. I've dined here several times and always had KAREN as my wait person. Karen is the best. If I go back I will only have Karen take care of me.

I tried this place years ago and was greatly disappointed by the food, but my boys loved the trains. This time I took my granddaughter. The food is no better. My GF white pizza with shrimp and broccoli was like matzo with shrimp and broccoli. It was dry and didn't even seem to have olive oil. The service was only... More

Great place with or without the kids. Pizza is always tasty and great salads too! Cute train runs around the upper level which is always an attraction for the kids and if you don't want to be near children when eating - you just dine on the main level.

Went here with friends who had recommended this place (they get off the train at the station and take a pizza home). Pizzas are 12" personal pizzas, thin crust (except for the side crust), and ingredients are variable (you can make your own combinations). Service was great, atmosphere with model train setups and train motifs and pictures is appropriate for... More

Stopped in to Pizza Works for lunch today on our way to the Outlets. Hadn't been here in a while and was pleasantly reminded why I should come here more often. One its a fun place for smaller children who like trains, plus it's right next to actually train station. We had the Gorganzola salad and the Bacon, Spinach and... More

If you like Gorgonzola - you've GOT to have their salad - SSSooooooooooooooo delicious - not to mention their Gorgonzola pizza with yellow and red bell peppers and roasted garlic. Of course - the train layouts are worth visiting for! Note the DETAILS - lots of humor and surprise. All around fun place to go - train station!

It's a little hidden but worth looking for. The location is awesome if you like trains. It sits next to the train station so you get to see and feel the trains go by. There's not a lot so don't worry it isn't going to ruin your meal. The pizza only comes one size cut into eight pieces, enough for... More

Went with friends, really enjoyed the pizza. And there were vegan options too. Shame that the salad and the breads all included Parmesan otherwise it would have been perfect. If you are vegetarian remind them that you don't want Parmesan.
