We've been going to this great little take out place for years. Unfortunately it has not been very good the last few years. Scallop roll, whole belly clam roll are just average. Gave up on the fries long time ago. Completely tasteless. However, the onion rings are wonderful. As far as the lobster roll, go across the street to the... More

This has to be a local's favorite. No pretenses, just a good little joint with the best hot lobster rolls I've had so far. Step in, belly up to the window, place your order and go sit down. They call your number when your order is ready. They are open all year long and have seating both inside and out.... More

Close to closing time on a Sunday, I ordered takeout, clam strips for wife and hot lobster roll for myself. Got home. Fried shrimp and lobster roll. Called and they made it good. Being very close (5 mins) away from where we were staying, Johnny Ad's made a clam strip platter and I picked it up. For my troubles, Johnny... More

I Love me some clams and was glad to have some so close to my Family when visiting. Have also had seafood chowder and Hot Dog. Would get it all again.

We have family in the area so whenever we visit this is one of our favorite places to go. It's family friendly. In the summer we can sit outside and enjoy the informal atmosphere. The fresh seafood is great. The service is quick. The scallop or lobster rolls are my favorites . Other family favorites are the fish tacos and... More

A delightful experience and a delicious meal. We ordered the whole-belly clams and they were excellent. The cole slaw is some of the best I've ever had at this kind of take-out restaurant.

Loved the lobster roll and the seafood platter. Service is quick and food delicious! Sat outside on a beautiful day.

We stopped by Johnny Ads after being disappointed with the newly renovated Clam Castle. This place was opened in 1957 and is truly old fashioned. You place your order and they call your number when it's ready. They have both inside and outside dining. We ordered the hot lobster roll and the fish and chips. The lobster roll was a... More

I've tried eating here a few times because it's local and seems to get a good crowd. Unfortunately this last meal was truly awful. I ordered the crab cake sandwich. It was practically raw; seriously undercooked. It's best to stick with the overpriced and overly fried options they offer. Very disappointed.

We saw this place and stopped in with few expectations. I got a platter with shrimp, scallops, clams, fish, fries and lobster salad. Amazingly fresh and more than my daughter and I could eat. Fast, hot food and terrific staff. Highly recommend this place and know why it's been around since 1957!
