Pedestrian Mexican

Your usual American version of Mexican food. They make their own chips, very tasty, and all you can eat. Nice place to dine.

I must, in good faith, disclose that my weakness for anything resembling Mexican food is at times debilitating. However, even the most leery connoisseur would have enjoyed the meal my family and I had last night at the Cuckoo’s Nest. The dishes we had – chili con queso, Connecticut nachos, shrimp and cheese tamales (a special of the evening), cheese... More

Salsa is bland and the food tastes like it is made by gringos. It's been a few years since we went and have not been back...

Located less than a mile off I-95 at exit 66, this local spot serves the tenderest chicken fajita I've ever had, albeit with carrots and zucchini. Drinks were good; my wife enjoyed her tacos. Definitely worth a stop.

We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon with friends, there were 4 of us. The atmosphere was great and the bartender could not have been nicer. This was a great stop. Will go back again.

We love this place. I have read other reviews and yes, the chips are cold, so is the salsa, and it is perfectly spicy and flavorful. The Mexican dinners are exactly what you would expect, a tasty burrito covered in melted cheese with rice and beans. The specials are great and change on a weekly basis. Seafood dishes have a... My husband and I were on our way to breakfast when we passed a sign for a breakfast buffet at the Cuckoos Nest. Having never tried the buffet we decided to pull in. The buffet runs on Sunday from 8:30-10:30. We were seated upstairs, the food was a quick trip downstairs. The food was fresh, there were choices from muffins... More

If you like bland Mexican food without fresh ingredients, this is the place for you. Mush of refried beans, tacos and burritos are just ok. One fun thing: Sloppy Joe's on the kids menu are called Sloppy Jose's. They serve good drinks, decent atmosphere and I have several friends that like the place. But if you want real Mexican food... Decided to go for dinner tonight with friends. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Best part of the experience was being seated immediately. After that it was all downhill. We ordered margaritas. Drinks came in small glasses that were not even margarita glasses. How can it be a mexican bar and no margarita glasses! We had to ask for the taco... More

Enjoyable and busy Sunday mexican brunch menu... You must enjoy Mexican food to really appreciate it. It was a pleasure to try it once....
