New Larger Location, Still Wonderful

It's been awhile since our last visit, mainly because they'd become so popular that the lines to get inside were just too long. J.A.M.S.S. moved over Memorial Day weekend to a larger location on the Boston Post Rd next to Chalker Beach Rd. Their new spot has more tables & staff, a larger kitchen... read more

The food was great! The poached eggs with avacado and arugula over flat bread was light and delicious. The staff friendly and the restaurant, newly renovated open ans welcoming. A definite return visit!

New address:1522 Boston Post Road Old Saybrook Finishing up a late breakfast and had to stop to rave about this place before I leave. They just moved to a new location. Don't pass by without giving them a try. Just had the "Ali"...one of the best light breakfasts I've ever had without question. A must for locals and visitors alike.

JAMSS has moved to Westbrook. We have been coming here for many years on a Sunday for breakfast or brunch. We were happy to see a slightly larger space in the new location, cleaner, and more tables. The owner greeted us and sat us right away. I was shocked to see empty tables. We ordered and waited 1 hour and... More

I've always enjoyed JAMSS, however, was a bit disappointed this visit. The staff is very friendly and I noticed regulars are greeted by name. With the exception of the home fries (yummy with rosemary!), the rest of the breakfast was a bit bland. Also the freshly squeezed o.j. tasted watered-down and priced $4.00/small glass seemed excessive.

We stopped in today for breakfast. We had been here before for lunch and it was very good. The Philly cheese steak was great, so we went here for breakfast. The flips are massive and very good. The eggs were tastey. The home fries were seasoned but bland. The toast was very very good. Never thought I would say that... More

Would be better if they had more room because it is packed! We had a wonderful breakfast. So many options. Their muffins are amazing and I had the country skillet. It was enough for 2 people!! And so tasty. The staff is delightful and the owner came out and said hello. We will be back.

Wonderful little place for breakfast and lunch. We also use this restaurant for catering at our office. They deliver which is a huge savings of time. Love the Dave, omelets, creme brûlée french toast for a treat. Lovely family and we enjoy doing business with them.

My family was transferred to CT and was blessed to find a great place in Old Saybrook. This gem is just down the street. You would pass right by if you didn't know to stop. They are friendly and the food is outstanding. The potatoes were a surprise at breakfast and a must have when we go. Corned beef hash... More
