We made dinner reservations for 7:15pm. We arrived at 10 after 7 and were offered to sit in the waiting area while they "got the table ready". New Years Eve is best celebrated at a wonderful, festively decorated country inn. The Bee certainly fits that bill. Starting with a wonderful meal, which is not easy to get on a busy evening at some restaurants, and then moving on to dancing to an 18 piece band and champagne to toast midnight. An elegant yet really comfortable setting made... More

I have no idea what a regular evening at the "Bee" is like. I have only celebrated special occasions and wine dinners here. The food has been very good (same owner two different chefs). The service is attentive ,but not obtrusive. The Inn is decorated for the holiday in a big way, no matter what the holiday is. Trees for... More

Dined at the Chestnut Grille at the Bee and Thistle Inn last night to celebrate wife's birthday. We were seated in the side porch area where there were only 4 tables. Having arrived just before 6:00pm we were able to order from the Prix Fixe menu. Wife had salad. salmon/risotto, and coffee ice cream hot fudge sundae ($29). I had... More

I loved eating here! My first visit was in September when I went with my fiancé and his family to quietly celebrate our engagement. The ambiance was wonderful, the server was attentive, and the food was delicious! I highly recommend this for a romantic date or intimate night out.

Four of us went to tea today, the room was beautiful. The service was terrible, waited to place our tea order for quite awhile ,got our tea, then a long wait for the food. You would think that was ok if they were making the sandwiches up fresh but they were all made on extremely stale bread. We had to... More

My friend and I won dinner for two for our Halloween costumes! She was a Grande Witch, I was a French Apache Dancer! Just wait until next year!!! The dinner was outstanding from the starters to the dessert!! Also inc. a bottle of California Chardonnay, Kenwood, which was perfect for our meal. Puree of roasted chesnuts and parsnips soup, yummy!... More

My wife and I recently celebrated our 12th anniversary at this wonderful restaurant. Everything from the appetizers, to the salad, to the main course was over-the-top tasty, fresh and simply perfect, The staff were friendly and welcoming, knowledgeable and accommodating. We have found our new favorite dinner spot!!

Last night we had a delicious family event. The menu is elegant,it was hard to choose. The roasted beet salad was a nice starter. We all chose beef wellington for the main course ;and it was excellent. The decor and ambiance is charming. The staff was very attentive .We had pre-ordered a birthday cake..it was delicious. This inn is our first... More
