Delightful dinner in the center of American Impressionism.

This was my second visit to the Chestnut Grill at the Bee and Thistle and I was once again very, very pleased. The food was outstanding (I had the duck) and the service is warm and friendly. Wonderful setting, incredible delicious food and service that is simply extraordinary. When it comes to the trifecta The Chestnut Grill at the Bee & Thistle is the winner - excellent service, incredibly delicious food reasonably priced in a setting that is quaint and romantic. No wonder this location is a "must do" for special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries.... More

I started my birthday "week " at the Bee with a lovely dinner with family which was delicious. From the salmon to the scallops everything was perfection. I ended the week with an amazing gathering of friends and felt like I was treated like a queen! From the burger to the brandy Alexander's we had a blast. The versatility of... More

I started with a drink in the sitting room, perfectly prepared by their expert bartender and enjoyed without pressure. I was shown to my table on one of the enclosed porches only when I was ready--very much with a sense that the staff sought my pleasure, not their convenience. On the evening when I dined in the Inn, the chef... More

We made dinner reservations for 7:15pm. We arrived at 10 after 7 and were offered to sit in the waiting area while they "got the table ready". A few minutes later a hostess gave us the drink menus so we could order drinks while we waited. We ordered drinks and they came out quickly. We ended up getting seated at... More

New Years Eve is best celebrated at a wonderful, festively decorated country inn. The Bee certainly fits that bill. Starting with a wonderful meal, which is not easy to get on a busy evening at some restaurants, and then moving on to dancing to an 18 piece band and champagne to toast midnight. An elegant yet really comfortable setting made... More

I have no idea what a regular evening at the "Bee" is like. I have only celebrated special occasions and wine dinners here. The food has been very good (same owner two different chefs). The service is attentive ,but not obtrusive. The Inn is decorated for the holiday in a big way, no matter what the holiday is. Trees for... More

Dined at the Chestnut Grille at the Bee and Thistle Inn last night to celebrate wife's birthday. We were seated in the side porch area where there were only 4 tables. Having arrived just before 6:00pm we were able to order from the Prix Fixe menu. Wife had salad. salmon/risotto, and coffee ice cream hot fudge sundae ($29). I had... More

I loved eating here! My first visit was in September when I went with my fiancé and his family to quietly celebrate our engagement. The ambiance was wonderful, the server was attentive, and the food was delicious! I highly recommend this for a romantic date or intimate night out.
