The Grille is a welcoming neighborhood restaurant and bar. Live music enlivens a few evenings a week and a lit fireplace keeps the patrons in the dining room glowing. The food ranges from hamburgers to duck breast with specials each night and wonderful salads that are equal to a meal. The local fish and scallops are fresh and tasty. We... More

We are long time residents of Old Lyme and enjoy dining out very much. The Grille has changed ownership quite a few times and we try to be supportive of local restaurants. We had not been here in quite some time and not since The Wood's Family took over. Their new sign is what really drew us to try dinner... More

My family of six and I arrived at the restaurant at 6 pm. There was another large party of six and a couple of tables of two people. Not what I would call crowded by any means. By the time our food arrived at 7:20 pm (yes...7:20....an hour and 20 minutes after we ordered) one of our four year old... More

My family went over 4th of July for the Re-Grand Opening of the Grille. I would not recommend this restaurant for children. They only have 1 highchair and a sign posted that reads something about kids not being really welcome- It is one of those Joke signs, but I still found it tacky and thought they might be serious since... By far the worst food I have ever had. Most frozen and heated. It was so bad the first time I went, that I had to go again just to see if it just was a bad night for the chef, nope, its that bad all the time. Why this place is still open is a mystery, Even if they... More

Looking for a good burger menu at a reasonable price this is your place. The burger menu has unique choices and comes with a heap of fries.

The food is not bad, however the owner/manager is one of the rudest, negative, drunk and unprofessional "business persons" I have ever come across. I have seen her yell at customers for no reason. It reminds me of the Soup Nazi character from Seinfeld. Please do some research on this place before you give them your business. There are much... More

Under the new management this has become one of our favorite dining spots. Adequate parking, easy to access of Rte. 156. Pleasant service. The meals have all be excellent and are reasonably priced.

We ordered the stuffed mushroom as an appetizer. Excellent, then we dipped some of the warm bread in the left over liquid. Yum. Ordered the seafood dinner for two(30.00) made with wine as opposed to the same dinner with Alfredo sauce. Can't remember when we had a tastier meal. Lobster, scallops, and shrimp were cooked to perfection. On a previous... More
