I recently had dinner at the revamped Old Lyme Inn. Service was excellent and the food was very good, in particular the fried calamari appetizer and the veal chop Milanese. The calamari came with a not-too-sweet and spice dipping sauce that was outstanding. The watermelon and feta salad was... read more

Love the "new" Old Lyme Inn - nice rooms, friendly staff and a great Jazz Club - The Side Door. Well worth a stop on the road from New York to Boston. Right in the heart of the historic district, close to the Florence Griswold Museum and great in-room massage available from superb local spa.

We sat in front of the fire. The menu offered many different entrees that looked delicious, but since it was burger night, that's what we had. Friendly and attentive service. It's just off of I-95, so a lovely place to stop for relief from the traffic.

A few weeks ago my wife and stopped at The Old Lyme Inn for lunch. We sat at the bar. We ordered stuffed mushrooms and duck and bacon won tons to share. We asked about the contents of the mushrooms because my wife has an extremely severe allergy (carries an epipen) to shellfish. We shared this information with the server.... More

We went to Connecticut to spend Thanksgiving with family. Our son made the reservation in August. He had confirmed it a couple of times, Derrick who works at the Inn called him on November 13th to confirm our reservation. When we arrived he had no record of it. He said he could seat us, but it was handled in a... More

We had an amazing dinner! All of the food was delicious and our server was wonderful. I ordered the swordfish and it was cooked perfectly! The dinning room was quiet and comfortable.

We had a birthday dinner Friday night 11/6/2015. We were seated in the room to the right of the main door and it was very quiet. The service was exceptional but not over bearing. Our appetizers were very good especially the cheese filled pop overs with house made salsa. My salmon with scallops with lobster sauce was excellent as was... More

This Inn has become our favorite restaurant in the area. The menu always has some new and interesting item on the menu to tempt as well as the regular favorites and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. My choice this recent evening was a rack of lamb, perfectly prepared, and my husband chose hanger steak which he raved about. We... More

We had a wonderful Sunday brunch today at the Old Lyme Inn in Old Lyme, CT. There were plenty of choices on the menu (not a buffet brunch) as well as luncheon choices. We will be returning!

Met old friends for a Sunday brunch. Lovely antique (recently updated) surrounded by the many impressionist paintings Old Lyme is known for. Right on the main street. Very good food and reasonable. Outstanding service. Had an ensemble band (made it a bit hard to hear each other, but they did offer to close the door to our smaller dining room.... More
