Tiny cafe with interesting food, but very crowded and always busy, so very noisy. Lots of selections on menu, and unique specials, many with Asian influence.

Stopped for a bite on our way to the casino. Great menu with very reasonable prices. Friendly staff and the service was excellent. The food was very good. We will be back!

This is a Laotian refugee family who has a wonderful history with the churches of Old Lyme who helped rescue them. They have brought a wonderful combination of their native cooking and traditional American dishes for delicious breakfasts and lunch offerings. The spring, summer and fall they have outdoor seating along The Lieutenant River. So comfortable and peaceful.

This small cafe is a jewel! Open for breakfast and lunch until about 3pm, the surprising menu combines soups and salads with an Asian flair. The Thai Calamari sits on a salad bed with lightly fried onions and tangy fish sauce that delights the palate. When the pumpkin soup is available, it cannot be missed with it's garnish of toasted... Found this lovely family owned cafe on this site. The menu offerings for lunch were varied and it was hard to choose. Breakfast all day was tempting, but we mostly opted for yummy lunch offerings. I liked the Asian salad! Service was very accommodating and happy to please.

This treasure is a delightful place to enjoy either a breakfast or lunch. The outside tables overlooking the Lieutenant River are delightful in the Spring, Summer and Fall.

Went two days in a row-- first lunch then breakfast/lunch. Staff is so friendly & view of the Four Mile River marsh in the morning sun is just lovely. This is a favorite spot for locals -- lunch for me was delish pumpkin soup with almonds and their fabulous pear salad! Second day: Breakfast was the omelet with sausage for... More

Disappointed. Dramatic change in food quality as compared with past visits. We had an omelet and a corned beef wrap . Omelet was dry and tasteless. The wrap was tasteless (“tasted like hospital food”). Coffee lukewarm. Menu needs some originality. One of the reasons that I hesitate to recommend restaurants is because the quality of the food can change dramatically... More

Had a great breakfast at the Morning Glory Cafe. Would definitely return if I found myself back in the area.

The Morning Glory Cafe is a idyllic spot to have a meal. Lunch is always a good try. They have a varied menu and one can never go wrong there. In the summer months there is an outdoor dining area that overlooks our beautiful Lieutenant River. Always worth the visit for meeting friends for a wonderful tasty meal.
