Great place place for breakfast & lunch. It is a small restaurant overlooking the Lieutenant River. We had fried fresh haddock sandwiches which were delicious. We also did a takeout of salad and Pad Thai for dinner. It was wonderful. Staff excellent and friendly. Delightful to eat on patio by the river.

Met a friend here for breakfast, it was crazy busy. The service was still good! Very interesting menu, but the specials stole the day. Next time I'm in the area I will be eating at the Morning Glory Cafe.

We have a vacation place in Old Lyme and we always make a point of eating breakfast here at least once. Never had a bad meal. If you are a traditionalist, you can't go wrong with their bacon and eggs or eggs Benedict. If you are in the mood for something different, try the Patana wrap. We appreciate fresh fruit... More

Have had breakfast several times...very good. Went for lunch and ordered pad Thai ,it was so salty that I couldn't eat it. Also had my husband try it. He couldn't eat it either. The waitress said they couldn't comp me because it was too salty. Owner was in the house and wouldn't look at me. Made me pay half for... More

Went to this restaurant based on Tripadvisor reviews. We had the house Mom's special egg rolls- greasy and not special. Pad thai - the noodles were so underdone that it was hard to get them down. The sauce was bland, just a few carrots and peanuts under the pile of nearly raw noodles. Pho - more noodles than broth, broth... More

Located a little off the beaten path but close to RT1 and I95 this little dining spot is ideal for a nice breakfast or lunch. We had breakfast and it was very good omelet and eggs benedict. There is also outside dining by the water. We would visit again.

One of the best breakfasts I have ever had The food was fresh, menu was innovative with lots of choices Service was a little slow but we didn't mind with the lovely outdoor tables in back next to a small creek Loved watching the fisherman as we enjoyed the view A short walk from the Old Lyme Inn

My wife, a couple of friends and I had a very tasty lunch here the other day. The Veggie Wrap and a side of sweet potato fries were just perfect. The service was prompt, friendly and helpful. Located by the river, MGC is an ideal place for a weekend breakfast or a relaxing and enjoyable lunch.

Once again the weather was absolute perfection and the setting for the café is ideal. I could have easily slumped into one of the Adirondack chairs for a midday nap but it was a leisurely lunch by the river before hitting the road again. It seems that we stumbled upon a little gem, as well. The story behind the Morning... More
