Even if the food was only just good, you could come and enjoy the marsh view, a cute and very clean bistro atmosphere and good service. I fell in love with the special soup and salad lunch: tai peanut salad and awesome Pho! The salad is fresh with a lovely dressing, not too sweet. The Pho is among the best... More

The cafe was charming and had a number of vegetarian-friendly choices. Ask about any specials... the pumpkin peach curry soup we had was amazing! Be sure to walk around out back as the views are just spectacular.

My wife and I rarely get time to ourselves and when we do we usually like to try a new place to eat, it's hard to eat though when they close over a 1/2 an hour before their posted time and just stare at you from the inside.....fail

We needed a good breakfast place in Old Lyme but this is not the answer. The menu lacks imagination. The food is so,so. The prices are a bit high for mundane breakfast food. You are better crossing the bridge into Old Saybrook for a better and wider choice in morning dinning.

This cafe has good food. In particular it is a great spot for breakfast with a view over the Lieutenant River.

What more could you ask for? Service with a smile, polite and attentive. Clean, attractive décor with great views of marsh. Fresh, healthy breakfast served with fruit. Love this restaurant and did not know it existed because it is not well signed. Do not miss it. I cannot wait to come back in the summer and enjoy the birds and... More

There isn't a lot of atmosphere to this restaurant but they make excellent sandwiches. They put a unique twist on a lot of standard items. See the menu here: http://morningglorycafeoldlyme.com/menus/MGCLunchMenu2013.PDF

Recommended by the staff at the Old Lyme Inn, this little place ROCKS! Family owned, with about 8 tables, this is a breakfast and lunch place. The staff is friendly and fast. Lots of interesting omelets. And lunch features Laotian Pho in several varieties.
