My boyfriend and I like to try new things together. He found Joy's online and decided to give it a try. We came in on a very busy Sunday morning, were greeted, and told to sit anywhere we wished as we walked in the door. We picked a booth and shortly thereafter, a waitress came over to fill our coffee... More

Joy's was an amazing breakfast. The omelets, gravy, and pancakes were superb. The service was fantastic, even with 3 kids at the table! They have a Mexican flair to their meals which is a refreshing spice for breakfast. Only 2 tables that can accommodate larger groups. Will certainly be back.

What a great find, thanks to the friendly reviewers from Tripadvisor. We were staying nearby and wanted an alternate breakfast option from the overpriced casino. This place truly is a skip away from the Mohegan Sun, but their breakfast is second to none. Was particularly impressed by the huevos rancheros that came with a delicious slightly spicy red sauce, with... More

I ate breakfast for the first time at Joy's Country Skillet on May 23, 2014. This restaurant is located on Route 32, a very short distance from the entrance of the Norwich Inn and Spa. I entered the establishment around 9:30 am, and there were very few people in the restaurant. I sat at the counter, because I was by... More

We visited Joy's for breakfast after reading reviews on-line. We were with another couple and came away ready to return for another delightful experience. As has been noted in some of the reviews that we read, this is a family owned and run establishment. It is immediately clear that all family members take pride in their business and are vested... We sat at the counter as every seat in the restaurant was filled. There is no push to eat, pay, leave. The food is served hot and well cooked. Its plain, simple and filling. It may not look glamorous but it is tasty and filling and the service was prompt, welcoming and polite. Did I say that the food was... More

Joy's is a wonderful, local restaurant with an eclectic menu. It is owned by the Flores family (Joy was the previous owner) and it seems like most of the family is there working. They serve really great breakfast - traditional and Mexican!!! Lunch and dinner is the same - traditional American food and really, really good authentic Mexican food. The... More

One of the best diner breakfasts I've had! I was lured in by the picture of the Spanish casserole on the menu, and it did not disapoint. My partner had the hash breakfast, also a good choice. Servers were smiley and helpful. And the prices were very fair! There were a steady stream of customers, even on a weekday late... More

Excellent food, wait staff so friendly and helpful, food delicious, a bargain!!! They keep filling your coffee and do it with a smile. Most of the local residents eat here so you know it is delicious. Try it... Easy and fast if you need a quick meal or you can sit and relax. You are not rushed.
