Worth the Wait!

I've been going to this place since it was in a tiny spot down the street and if you like hearty, spicy, really really delicious food served in an unpretentious setting, it's the place for you. There will always be a line. There just will. It's worth the wait even to sit at the bar. The pernil... read more

Casual, cool place with fabulous inexpensive food. Nothing fancy about the decor but if you want to eat some delicious food with great beers, this place is your place. A great lunch joint but good for dinner if you don't want a romantic, quiet evening.

Here's a twist on your morning breakfast. Try an arepa- it's a corn meal wrap- the bacon and egg or chorizo (sausage) and egg are terrific... and good coffee. I've been here for lunch and dinner as well. A younger (20's) crowd at dinnertime gives a nice buzz to the place.

Great Food, terrible seating...We came here to celebrate a family occasion. The food was great, plenty of choices and good serving sizes. The only issue is the seating, FAR too many tables and seats jammed into such a small place, they really need to realize that the customer should be COMFORTABLE, not crammed into a little corner!

My wife and I stopped here for dinner during a business trip. We had four different Arepas, which were great, and shared the blackened swordfish, which was fabulous. Can't wait to go back.

The food at Valencia is never a miss. Its so different and so yummy. Whether its breakfast of egg benedicto serviced over an arepa, or lunch with a mango and brie arepa, or even a dinner entrée. Valencia never disappoints. The atmosphere is so fun, and if its nice outside, take advantage of the outdoor "beach" seating! Only negative is... More

Valencia is one of the best places to eat in Connecticut, period. Wait staff is super nice and attentive, their arepas are incredible and their plantains are the best I've ever tried. Somehow they are able to put out first-rate food at dive prices. Not only is the food at their restaurant amazing, but they are fantastic caterers. My wife... More

Have come here for breakfast and lunch many times - some of the best food in Norwalk. Everything I've had on the menu has been scrumptious.

The food is really enjoyable and the waitstaff is helpful with ordering. Service has been sporadic. Sometimes it is attentive and excellent and other times when the restaurant is busy it is not as attentive. They do not have a reservation system so sometimes there is a long wait, but it is worth it. The empanadas are wonderful! Try the... More

The food at this restaurant is excellent. The parking is dreadful! I would eat there weekly, but with horrible parking and a line out the door, it makes it challenging to enjoy their wonderful food. Perhaps they are victims of their own success.
