Amazing Mexican food

I'm originally from Mexico and ever since I moved to the U.S. I've been trying to find some decent food without having to drive all the way to Queens or Port Chester. Tacos Mexico is a small restaurant, not too fancy but with a really nice atmosphere. Their Pastor steak is amazing!! And the queso... read more

By far the best Mexican food in the area. We order takeout at least once a week. Eating in is fine too, but parking on weekends can be tricky. Favorite items are: tacos, burritos and sopes.

If you want traditional home style Mexican cooking this is the place. The tacos, burritos, soups, nachos and guacamole are fantastic. And always consistently good. The portions are quite large and the price is very fair.

There's always the search for that unknown place. No advertising, operated by a young earnest couple who've developed a really interesting menu and created a great dining experience on a shoestring. Taco's Mexico is one. The place isn't about tacos. It's actually pretty sophisticated -- the chef knows what he's doing. The menu leans towards fish in different combinations. Excellent... More

We ended up here after a recommendation from a friend. At first, I was a bit skieved by the area. The restaurant is in a sketchy plaza by the E. Norwalk train station. Boy, were we surprised when we walked in. The restaurant has a separate bar area with TVs. The decor is quaint, plenty of seating for dates or... More

On my last visit to Connecticut I had to stop at this cool food truck. The menu seems extensive so I made sure I asked them if they had any vegan options. To my surprise they did and made sure to modify some items on the menu so I could eat. I had some tacos and they were truly delicious.

This place is in a kind of sketchy area, and their billboard/light up sign is somewhat odd, but do not be deterred! Tacos Mexico is my new favorite Mexican eatery in Fairfield County: the food is delicious, affordable, and the service is great and friendly. There are so few good, "authentic" (in quotes because truly I have never been to... More

I purchased a Groupon certificate, which lead us to try Tacos Mexico. Do not let the unobtrusive outside stop you from going in. We went for an early lunch on a Sunday and when we pulled into the parking lot my husband looked at me and said " you want to eat here?'. The restaurant is located in a strip... More

November 15, 2014 - we decided to try this restaurant - OMG are we so glad we did! This is not your typical or ordinary Mexican Restaurant with tamales, tacos, tostado's, burrito's, etc. Not to say they don't have these items, but the preparation and flavors are over the top amazing! I had Pechuga a la Diabla at a cost... More

Second visit this Summer.......a super little cocina in a tiny strip mall near the East Norwalk station. The food is WOW!....authentic, fresh, and a super value! We had a ceviche to start that was so bright and fresh and delicious. Guacamole, as well as the sauces served with the nacho chips are the real thing....no 'canned' stuff here. My own... More
