I am Greek and this is the best Greek food I've had since visiting Greece. Service is super friendly. Very accommodating to vegetarians. Decor is nothing fancy--you're going for the food. Highly recommend.

Best Greek food in Norwalk - and thats saying a lot! Absolutely try the beefteki sandwich or platter. Also the patriarch makes a rice pudding. Its amazing - and I dont usually like rice pudding. We've gone here with 9-10 for a family dinner, and with another couple for a delicious and romantic double date. This place is so tucked... More

Pontos Taverna has some of the best home style Greek cooking around! My husband and I would always travel to Astoria in New York but since Pontos opened there is no reason to travel when this little gem is in our back yard! The food is always fresh and tasty. The Kiriakidis family who own the restaurant always makes you... More

Overall, Pontos Taverna is the best place to get Greek food without going to Greece. Everyone is so nice, which makes the whole experience more enjoyable. I could eat there every weekend!

We have been going to this family owned and run restaurant regularly since it opened, and it never ceases to disappoint. The food is very good -- fresh, tasty and authentic. The feta tastes like feta I've had in the Greek Islands. The service is warm and attentive. It's a place where the waitresses remember your name, and they care... More

We've eaten at this restaurant several times. The food (while overly garlicked) is fine, although not exceptional, and prices are average. However, the service the last two times we visited was very poor, leaving us feeling very disappointed. Both times were visits after going to the movie theatre across the street from the restaurant. Since it was late, we did not... More

The food is quite good. The mixed grill perfectly cooked and generous in size. The octopus was the highlight, definitely the best i have ever had including in Greece. Service was excellent and area is convenient to park. Great new find.

Pontos Taverna is a good place to go for Greek food. The food is great, and the portions are generous. I ordered the pickled salad as an appetizer and the Branzino special as the main entree with a side of orzo. For dessert, we ordered the baklava, and it was very tasty. Service was very good all around. The decor... More

We had a Groupon for lunch of 2 dips or cheeses, 2 entrees and 2 glasses of wine. The restaurant appears to be clean, sparsely decorated, with Greek music playing in the background. Parking is ample and easy to find. We started with the cold eggplant dip with homemade bread, which was good. Then, we had the tirokafteri - warmed... More
