Tried this place recently. Loved all the dishes we had. Spicy and delicious. They also offered a glass of free wine with our dinner. The wine was surprisingly good for a freebie. Definitely going back there again soon.

This restaurant has great--really great--Chinese food. Best in Fairfield County. Get there early on weekends or you may have to wait for a table.

This is a follow up review, regarding Village Gourmet, a nice restaurant located in a residential part of town and convenient to a lot of folks who are not especially close to downtown Norwalk where quite a few Chinese restaurants are located. There continue to be some excellent items on the menu, which has undergone some changes. The cold sesame... More

This place in my neighborhood used to be small with a few tables but mostly take out business. Now due to loyal following, they opened a whole roomful of tables. Reservations ARE recommended on Friday nights and some other times on weekends. Loyal customers have decided they enjoy the ambiance and would like to dine in. I have had nothing bad.... More

Can't believe I haven't written a review of the VG Norwalk... this is our "go to" place for take out and occasionally dining there when we want something easy. Decor is simple and tasteful. The staff is great and sure know how to work under pressure, because they are often full of sit down patrons while handling a strong and... More

We take out of here about once a week and have found the food consistently good over the years. Yes, sometimes there is a little too much spice on something, or sometimes not enough but by and large, find this to be the best chinese in the area for the money. Happened to stay and eat there earlier this week... More

Went to the new Stamford restaurant on a Groupon and am glad that is all I spent. The food is expensive and is americanized with brown gravy. Portion sizes were small and service was very spotty Decor is nice but that is all the good that I can say. I would not recommend nor come back as this is not... More

Excellent food. Very high quality, reasonable price. Take out very fast. Dine in gets busy, but very nice.

I don't want to have to wait for a table... It began as a small, mostly take-out restaurant. The place has expanded and has a thriving eat-in business. The service is great, the food is beautifully presented, and the prices can't be beat. So far, I've never had to wait for a table. Keep the secret please.

If you want authentic, fresh, interesting asian, don't hesitate. There's no lbar so either they give you a glass of pretty ok wine, or you bring your own. Much better than typical chinese and a lovely diningroom. Always crowded because it's always good.
