Wedding fun

Friends had their wedding at Abbott's so we were served Abbott's salad, chowder, and lobster. I had Noank chowder which was very good and hot lobster roll which was packed with lobster meat and completely covered and soaked in butter. A little too much butter but maybe that's just me. I stopped on the way home from visiting family and friends. I hadn't been to Abbotts in decades. The place hadn't changed. The lobster and clam chowder were outstanding and very reasonably priced. The place was hopping for a Friday night in August, but picnic tables could still be found. Beautiful weather complimented the great view of Long Island Sound.... More

First time in Mystic. I was looking forward to awesome seafood that was reasonably priced. Well.....The OMG lobster roll was filled with lobster but lacked taste. We ordered the special muscles cooked in white wine thinking they would be filled with flavor. Many were not opened and the taste was not so "special". The bill was more then I thought... More

Abbott's has been around for almost 70 years and we have often gone there with our children and grandchildren for lobster. The setting and ambience--- a great view of the harbor and its flotilla of small sail boats--- is what you would expect from a restaurant that bills itself for its "lobster in the rough". So my wife and I... More

Weird looking collection of shacks that make for an amazing meal. Good prices for high quality seafood in an amazing landscape. Relax, enjoy the breezes (and if you can go after 1 PM, when the crowds have died down)

Just had dinner here the other night. Had my usual OMG sandwich and a pound of steamers. My guests from Cali were so happy and amazed at the price as they pay upwards of $36 per pound for frozen Australian tails. One person got a 1.5lb lobster and steamed it. Overall it was good as always. This place is nothing... More

This place is a diamond in the rough!!! Loved our lunch there. The sail boats were passing by, a salt water breeze and of course, last but not least the food was wonderful. Very peaceful place to be. Thank you Abbot's

This is a beautiful place to have seafood--sitting outside watching the boats. They have the best clam chowder I have ever had. It tastes like the sea. Clam roll is good if you are not a lobster fan.

On our first night of our trip, we decided to keep it simple and heard about this place, a walk-up style restaurant with a great view. First of all, the views do not disappoint. Sitting at picnic style tables, you look out onto the water and see boats of all sizes passing. It doesn't get better. Unfortunately the food did... More

Abbott's has always been the best and most reliable lobster roll restaurant. Great place to sit by the water and enjoy the sailboats going by. Always order the lobster roll and chowder. Cannot be beat.
