Drove about 30 mins out of our way while at an event in CT to go to this highly recommended spot. Immediately impressed when we pulled up - classic, order at the counter, indoor/outdoor seating and right on the water. Hot buttered lobster roll was delicious, but smaller than I expected. We had a large order and they left one... More

Some friends invited me along for their annual trip to the opening weekend at Abbott's for lobster and steamers. I figured, what the heck. Wow! The steamers were terrific and the lobsters some of the best. Don't go here for the atmosphere - there really isn't any. We ate indoors because it was chilly. Very basic tables/chairs. Outside is great... More

We were anxious to have lobster and eagerly ordered the Hot Lobster Roll. It was good, not great. The lobster was on the tough side, and therefore a bit tough and chewy. The service was quite slow and disorderly. People behind the counter were a bit gruff, which oddly was somewhat charming. On the upside, the atmosphere is amazing and... More

We went to Abbotts today to celebrate Mother's Day. We waited 1 1/2 hours to place our order. When we finally put our order in they had run out of menu items: steamers and corn on cob. Our order came to $100 1 regular hot lobster roll and 2 OMG lobster rolls, 1 artichoke, and mussels in white wine garlic... More

Visited on Mother's Day for dinner . VERY underwhelming Lobster bisque was not hot and was very greasy. Daughters grilled cheese was tiny. Appetizer platter was not worth the $$ came with a whole apple and saltines instead of real crackers for the cheese. The lobster was extremely tough and tasteless ..., could not taste any butter... Had to ask... More

Abbott's has got to be one of the top seafood restaurants in New England. We were here opening weekend. Although a bit chilly, the place was packed. Everything about this place is great. Lobsters steamed not boiled means meat is done but not full of water. Wonderful steamers and the chowder was so good, we went back for a second... More

Top quality seafood. Old seaboard atmosphere, right in the harbour. Enthusiastic, friendly staff. Great service. Now serving the "LOL" Lobster roll which has a full pound of delicious lobster meat.

We live in the area and only discovered Abbott's last summer (unfortunately it was at the end of the summer). It is SO YUMMY. In fact, we placed our order and then went back to get an additional meal because we enjoyed it so much. If you're going in the evening, it might be worth bringing a sweater because you're... More

Delicious lobster on a bun, choose the amount of lobster too. Steamers were excellent. Casual dining, order and get food on trays then eat at a picnic table. Location is right on the water. Off the highway expect to travel through a residential neighborhood to get here. Parking here gets packed. It's a bit expensive, but this is lobster and well worth it... More
