Nice no frills dining

Abbots is tucked away, so place may be a little hard to find, but Google got us there just fine. You order at the window and go inside and get your food at the inside counter. We ordered the new England feast, which consisted of the clear broth clam chowder, steamed mussels and clams, 4 pick and... read more

This is summer, New England and seafood. There's nothing better than being outdoors, tackling a freshly steamed lobster. Off the beaten path, true, but worth the drive over from Mystic. Stop by the little package store in Noank and pick up a bottle of your favorite. (We usually pack a table cloth, wine glasses and a bottle of something to... More

My husband and I spent the weekend in Mystic and couldn't keep ourselves away from Abbott's. We dined not only once, but twice because our first visit was well worth it. We both got lobsters the first night along with the creamy clam chowder and Marty's muscles. The steamed lobster was unlike any lobster I have ever eaten. I didn't... More

Abbott's serves the best lobster I have ever eaten. It is steamed to perfection; and the lobster is so tender, delicious and perfect with the drawn butter. The atmosphere is fun, friendly and inviting. If you prefer a lobster roll, the Abbott's lobster roll is filled with lobster meat and that is all....sheer perfection with a bit of drizzled butter.... Now, I haven't posted to trip advisor before but after reading a couple critical views from brand new accounts that have only reviewed Abbott's I felt obliged to add in my thoughts. My wife and I dined with another couple at Abbott's for the first time Monday and had a wonderful time. One person in our party is a vegetarian... More

My husband and I have dined far and wide and I will tell you, even for a southern girl like myself, the classic New England views and lobster makes this a go to when we are in the area. My husband ordered the "feast" (clam chowder, steamers, mussels and lobster) I snuck a few (or several)bites here and there. We... More

It's not easy to find a place that specializes in lobster that also serves lobster rolls with not salad, but real lobster in the rough along with drawn butter to pour over it. It's been nearly 30-years since we and our friends had the pleasure of sitting at a picnic table with the Mystic River, Mason's Island and Ram Island... More

This place is absolutely amazing. We went with a few friend for dinner. Got a table by the water with a fantastic view. We brought our own tablecover, wine glasses and several bottles. Ordered The steamed Lobster. Sweet, tender and u believably delicious. Our friend had the lobster roll which she said was to die for. It was all lobster... More

Yesterday was our 4th trip to Abbott's, and I think it will most likely be our last. I've always taken the plunge and had lobster of some sort ... yesterday it was the OMG! lobster roll as entree and crab cakes as starter. Both were disappointing as always. The crab cakes were mostly tasteless, with just a little undertone of... More

Absolutely delicious, and the freshest lobster and other seafood to be found! There are some non-seafood dishes, but that's only for the uninitiated. we had the OMG lobster roll and it was absolutely the best. They even have a map available on how to find your way back to the interstate.
